Jacob Gilcrest, a projectabe 6-foot-5, 195 pound southpaw from Center Grove HS, is back on the recruiting board after decommitting from Louisville last week. 

Gilcrest saw a rise in fastball velocity late in 2016 where he began sitting in the mid-to-upper 80's touching 90 mph.  Throughout the 2017 spring and summer he consistently held 85-88, occasionally up to 89 mph.  The breaking ball, which at times flashes sharpness, sits 72-75.

He does need refinement on the mound mechanically, which in turn should lead him to better command of the strike zone.
