Our annual preseason high school coverage takes an in-depth look at all areas of the state as we inch towards first pitch. Our staff has looked into uncommitted seniors, breakout juniors, along with sophomores returning after big freshman seasons. Our team preview roll out is in mid-swing, with 63 teams already highlighted, and more to come - all leading up to the release of our Preseason All-State teams, and our Preseason Rankings release. 

Today, we name an "All-Region" team for six areas of the state. The Central region makes up the central part of the state, working from as far south as Johnson County, all the way up to the Kokomo/Lafayette/Muncie region. Next is the "Region area" or the Northwest pocket of the state. South Bend, and areas north of Kokomo, makes up the Northern Indiana team, while everything north of Muncie and east of South Bend is lumped into the Northeast team. Evansville and its surrounding areas south of Bedford makes up the Southwest team, while the Bloomington/Bedford area and everything east of that, and south of Johnson County, comprises the Southern Indiana team. 

The criteria for selecting each team was based off of : prospect status, 2024 statistics and accomplishments, and finally a bit of "gut feel" on who we think will perform this upcoming season.
