Brandon Logan, OF, Fort Wayne Snider HS, 2025
A Vanderbilt recruit - Logan plays with confidence and showed good presence in the box. At the dish, he set up in an athletic stance and showed a very smooth load with consistent tempo throughout. Showed good patience with zone awareness, able to lay off above-average breaking balls out of the zone with 2Ks. Quick, efficient bat path. Rangy CF, glider-type runner that ran a (6.63) 60 yard dash last fall. The 6-foot, 160 pounder showed improved physicality from the fall. Was 2 for 3 with 2 BB’s and an opposite field 2B in my look.

Landen Fry, INF, Fort Wayne Snider HS, 2025
One of my favorite hitters in the 2025 class, the 6-foot, 180 pound Indiana recruit has quick bat speed and advanced bat-to-ball skills for a ‘25. Starts in an open stance, then uses a hover-type stride and a tight, compact load. Clean path with a knack for finding the barrel. Fry is hitting (.367) with 8 XBH’s in 16 games this HS season. 4.43 H-1st, which I expect to improve as he matures.

Pernell Whitsett, 3B, Fort Wayne Northrop HS, 2024
Uncommitted 2024. Whitsett has a physical, 6-foot frame with a thick lower half. Really looks the part. Very good presence in the box with good awareness of the strike zone. Smooth load with a rotational-type swing. Loose, whippy bat speed. The LHH 3B has good power potential, nearly leaving the park to the opposite field on a ball he didn’t get all of. Above-average runner with some arm strength across the diamond.

Alex Graber, RHP, Homestead HS, 2024
Uncommitted 2024. Graber is an athletic, projectable 6-foot-2, 180 pounder that sat 84-86 mph on his fastball with some ASR. High ¾ arm slot with good tempo throughout his delivery. Clean finish. Showed good feel for a tight, 69-72 mph slurvey type breaking ball. Got hit around in this look, particularly when he got behind in the count and caught too much plate with the fastball. Development of a third pitch will pay dividends for his development.

Nicholas Hockemeyer, OF, Homestead HS, 2022
2022 LHH CF with a quick bat. Hockemeyer is good runner (4.2 H-1st) with quick, twitchy bat speed. Hits from a tall, open stance and uses a controlled leg kick for timing. Knack for the barrel, going 1 for 4 with a couple loud outs in my look.

Griffin Tinkel, RHP, Homestead HS, 2023
Uncommitted 2023. Tinkel is an athletic, 5-foot-11, 170 pound righty with a ton of feel for his 72-73 mph breaking ball. Tinkel sat 81-83 mph on his FB and commanded it to both sides of the plate. Works with a quick tempo. Attacks hitters in the zone and showed the ability to pitch backwards. Tinkel struck out 5 in his 6 IP, allowing just 2 Hs, 1 BB, and 0 ER.
