On Saturday, February 22, PBR Indiana hosted its annual Preseason All-State Showcase at Westfield High School in Westfield, IN.  A record 153 players within the 2015-2017 classes participated in the event, and as always the talent was deep.

Today we analyze the top 2015 catchers from the event.

1. Cody Burton, C, Columbus North HS, 2015: 6-foot, 205 pound junior was 1.97-2.09 with his pop times at the event.  Behind the plate shows a strong frame with good foundation.  Possesses some arm strength at 77 mph.  Exchange was quicker than it was at the Dec. showcase.  Footwork needs some improvement along with his exchange, but projects well behind the plate at the next level. Offensively, starts open and uses a long stride. Dives towards the baseball. At times changes eye level. Bat speed is quick with good lift. Gets to extension producing good power. Exit velo was 88 mph. High follow in the 2015 class
