Indiana is deep with pitching this year and it’s easy to overlook Watson with the likes of RHPs Ashe Russell (Cathedral HS, IN), Bryan Hoeing (Batesville HS, IN) and Noah Burkholder (Crown Point HS, IN) soaking up the spotlight. But Watson is worth following closely too. He has a good, strong frame and an easy delivery. His fastball currently sits in the high 80s, but can easily touch the low 90s. He has two breaking balls, which can morph at times, but his curveball is at its best when sitting in the mid 70s with 11/5 shape and depth while his slider is best when in the 80-81 mph range. He also mixes in a changeup at 77-80. This will be Watson's second Super 60 appearance after participating as an underclassman in 2014.
