2017 TEAM PREVIEW: Plainfield Red Pride

Head Coach: Jeff McKeon
Class: 4A
2016 Record: 18-9
Conference (2016 Record): Mid-State 8-4
Returning Starters/Pitchers: 4/4

2017 Team Strengths:

Top Returning Players:

• Daylan Nanny, 1B/LHP, 2017
  Noah Lane, RHP, 2017
  Brady Adams, 1B/RHP, 2017
  Luke Castetter, 3B
  Wayne Walker, OF

Outlook: Coach McKeon returns 8 seniors and 8 total starters from last year. They will have to replace 4-year starter Kalib Clark behind the dish, but look to have experience on the mound as they return 18 wins on the bump in 2016.  Evansville commit, Daylan Nanny and Concordia (IL) commit Brady Adams should be a force in the lineup. Defensively, they should be sure up the middle with experience on the corners. McKeon looks to lead the Red Pride into the top of the Mid-State Conference vs. a tough schedule including Greenwood, Franklin, Whiteland, and Decatur Central.
