Top-10 Stories of 2019: No. 8 Team Indiana Finds Success in First Trip To LakePoint

As of today, 11 players from the 2019 Future Games have verbally committed to play at the division one level. 

2021 OF JD Rogers (Carmel HS) was the latest to announce his commitment. On December 3rd Rogers announced he was committing to play at college baseball powerhouse Vanderbilt. Rogers was arguably the team's offensive MVP going 4-5 with two doubles and three walks at the event.

Indiana's top 2022 prospect, Andrew Dutkanych will also be attending Vanderbilt. The RHP committed to the Commodores just a few week's after the Future Games.  The 6-foot-3, 190 pound right-hander was 89-91 with a sharp 79-81 slider at the event. Earlier in the summer Dutkanych topped out at 93 with his fastball.

The University of Evansville landed three 2021 commits from this year's squad. Two of the Aces' commits hail from Southridge HS in catcher Chase Taylor and RHP Ethan Bell. Their third commit is outfielder Blake Herrmann out of Castle HS. Taylor has a strong build with gap power offensively and a strong arm behind the dish. Bell is a lanky 6-foot-2, 160 pound RHP with a fastball up to 86. Herrman was one of the fastest prospects on this year's team, running a 6.77 in the 60-yard dash.

2021 SS Evan Goforth (Floyd Central HS) was the first Team Indiana member to commit to a school, committing to Indiana. At 6-foot-1, 160 pounds he ran a 6.89 in the 60-yard dash with an infield velocity up to 84 mph.

Zionsville's Nate Dohm was up to 89 mph with his fastball at this year's event. The 6-foot-3, 210 pound 2021 right-hander committed to Ball State in September.

Two more 2022 right-handed pitchers picked schools. Western's Parker Dean committed to Purdue, while Westfield's Gage Stanifer chose Cincinnati. Dean is a physical 6-foot-4, 210 pounder up to 86. Stanifer is an athletic 6-foot-2, 176 pounder also up to 86 with his fastball.

A pair of 2021 prospects picked Ohio schools. Columbus East third baseman Parker Harrison verbally committed to Wright State, while Zionsville C/P David Novak committed to Miami (OH). Harrison is a strong 6-foot-1, 195 pound right-handed hitter with gap-to-gap power and ran a 6.99 at the Future Games. Novak is an athletic 6-foot-1, 200 pounder with arm strength both on the mound and behind the dish and shows well above average bat speed offensively.
