Scouting Report

4/1/17 Game Notes: Ball State Commit. Fast twitch, electric RHP at 6 ft, 165 pounds. Athletic arm that was quick and loose. Worked with great tempo and rhythm throughout. Sat 90-91 first inning touching a 92 with little arm side sink. Settled into the game at 88-90. Threw both breaking balls for strikes - curve ball was 11/5 sharp at 75mph and slider was 78-79mph. Commanded fastball to both sides of the plate. Threw FB above the hands for strikeouts. Finished with a complete game no hitter striking out 10 LN hitters. Great competitor on the mound.

Feb 2017 Super 60: Ball State recruit. 6-foot, 165-pound right-handed pitcher, wiry-thin build, narrow shoulders, overall quick-twitch athlete. Quick, loose, athletic arm, high-3/4 slot; rhythm and tempo in delivery. Worked fastball at 88-89 mph, mostly straight. Throws two breaking balls: curveball ranged between 78-79, slurvy shape; slider ranged between 80-81 with some sharpness. Also threw a 78-80 mph changeup, excellent feel for pitch, thrown for consistent strikes with arm-side sink. Overall high-level athlete, ran a 6.52 60 at a previous PBR event.

Oct. 2016:
The 6-foot, 160 pound right-hander possesses quick arm speed from a loose, high 3/4 arm action.  Fastball has life at 87-90, touching 92 on multiple occasions.  Slider is thrown at 77-81 with sharp action; throws for a strike in any count.

6/20/16 Area Code Workout:
Ran a 6.52-60

6/4/16 Midwest Prospect League:
The Ball State commit showed a hard fastball at 88-90.  Flashed a couple of sharp sliders at 75-77.  Changeup was 78.

5/10/16 GAME NOTES:
6-foot, 160 pound Ball State commit and leadoff hitter went 2-3 with a pair of doubles in a 4-1 victory over Shenandoah Tuesday evening. Rangy outfielder uses plus speed to cover gaps and get around the bases. Very strong outfield arm. Sets up athletic and slightly open at the plate. Uses a small toe tap and average bat speed to produce line drives.

2/20/16:
6-foot, 160 pounder ran a 6.68-60 and was 92 from the OF from a loose, high ¾ arm action.  Good life on his throws.  Athletic actions in the field with quick feet.  At the plate shows quick twitch with quick hands.  Average use of the lower half, tendency to dive.  Fair approach.  Line drive hitter.  Recorded a high exit velocity of 85 mph. PITCHING 6-foot, 160 pounder pitches from a high ¾ slot with quick arm speed.  Loose arm action.  Regular effort in the delivery with smooth rhythm.  Uphill shoulders, stays in line.  Fastball was an easy 85-87 with run.  Threw a curveball at 74-78 and a slider at 77-79.  11/5 action with sharp break on the curveball.  Changeup has good sink with occasional run at 77-79.

FUTURE GAMES 2015:  Wiry 5-foot-11, 155-pounds but showed as big of an arm as any. It’s a short quick, lively arm action that worked 86-89 with the fastball and showed an equally impressive curveball. It too is a swing and miss curveball at 77-78 that seemed to disappear on hitters.
