2/25/17: 6-foot-1, 185 pounds. Two-way prospect and No. 1 ranked player in the 2020 class.  Offensively, hits from the right-side of the plate from an open, athletic/crouch setup.  Short stride, small leg lift timing trigger, partial rotation with the lower half.  Showcased quick hand speed with a slightly uphill swing path.  Consistent hard contact during his BP. Registered a high exit velocity of 90 mph.  Defensively, long, loose high ¾ arm action.  Throws topped at 87 mph with life, carry.  Footwork is quick and fluid, plays through the baseball.  Athletic actions defensively.  Ran a 6.77 in the laser-timed 60 yard dash

8/6/16 FUTURE GAMES: Athletic and lean 6-foot-1, 165 pound frame, he showed a clean and easy arm action with a fastball ranging from 81-82 mph. The curveball ranged from 69-71 mph with some depth while the change up ranged from 77-78 mph. Some drop and drive in the delivery, but when he learns how to stay tall you should see the velocity jump as well as the curveball become sharper. 

6/21/16: Add another prospect to Indiana’s seemingly endless supply of front-line arms. 2020 LHP Ryan Lynch (Penn HS), who first caught the attention of the PBR Indiana staff at the March 2015 Future Prospects Showcase as a seventh grader flashing an 81-82 mph fastball, has continued to make progress. Earlier this week at the Indiana Top Prospect Games the 6-foot-1, 185-pound lefty stood out again, showing a simple, athletic delivery and advanced body control for his age while throwing with clean arm action from a three-quarters slot. He showed a velocity increase since we had seen him a year ago, working 83-86 mph with life – mostly arm-side run with occasional cutting action inside to right-hand hitters in game action. Lynch also features a 71-73 mph breaking ball with 1/7 shape and occasional sharp break and a 77-78 mph change-up with arm-side run.
Offensively, Ryan has a open setup with small leg kick.  Hands are above average and has some fluidity to it.  Ryan also ran a 6.92 and produced an exit velocity of 86.

2/21/16: Projectable 6-foot-1, 185 pound southpaw pitches from a long, high 3/4 arm action with quick arm speed.  Easy effort in the delivery with smooth rhythm.  Showed the ability to command all pitches.  Fastball has slight run at 83-86.  Breaking ball had downer type action with sharp break at 71-72; potential plus pitch at the next level.  Splitter was 71-72.  HIGH FOLLOW 2020.  In the field showcased sure hands with fluid feet.  Plays through the baseball.  Up to 84 from the OF.  At the plate htis from an open setup, laods back.  Partial rotation with his lower half.  Fair balance. Quick bat speed for his age.  Level swing path.  High exit velo of 86. 

3/14/15: As a 7^th grader, Ryan displayed plus actions on the mound from the left-handed side.  His fastball topped at 83mph and sat 81-82 with late run.  His slider had late 2/8 break at 68-70mph.  He will need to polish his command on both pitches but showcased a high ceiling on the mound.   Offensively, he has a tall setup.  He loads back with a short stride.  Hands were fast for his age.  He produced line drives with good bat speed.  Ryan will need to get extension as he matures.  Defensively, he has a clean exchange and fluid feet.  Throws were erratic but had good arm strength.  He threw 84 from the OF.  His 60yd dash was also a 7.11.
