Scouting Report

9/10/17: 6-foot-2, 188 pound senior lefty works with aggressive approach and intent down the mound, max effort in delivery. Strong framed, good direction with clean arm action. Attacks plate with fastballs, high ¾ arm action, with two seam arm side life on fastball. Sat 83-85, working both sides of the plate, pitching off fastball. Curveball has down action, often times popping up out of hand and staying up, pulled a couple down, with good swing and miss action, curveball sat 64-68. Changeup had good arm speed, thrown 72-73 with fade arm side. Slider was 70-71, best off-speed pitch, showed late life at times. 4 pitch mix competitor.

2017 Spring Scout Blog:  6-foot-2, 160 pound left-handed pitcher competed against the #1 ranked Greyhounds for 5+ innings of work. Relies on a heavy fastball with slight arm side run.  Fastball sat 78-81, touching 82.  Lived on corners for majority of outing.  Curveball has down action with gradual break at 63-64.  Slider was best off-speed pitch.  Featured more late break and depth at 68-71.  Lost feel for off-speed late, continued to compete with just the fastball.  Long limbed lefty has much more in the tank if fills in physically.  Bulldog on mound, worked out of a few jams early to keep the Panthers in the ball game.

The 6-foot-2, 155 pound left-handed hitting first baseman has a balanced setup with short stride, back hand load.  Compact swing with a line drive approach.  Hard RBI base hit up the middle for the Panthers.  Behrmann has soft hands with good actions at first base.  Left-handed pitcher is an upper 70's with arm side run and good down angle.  Previously ran a 7.17 60yd dash.

10/8/16:
The 6-foot-2 155 pound left-handed pitcher has long limbs and some athleticism on the mound.  Projectable frame.  Fastball sat 76-78, touching 79 on Saturday.  Showed feel for commanding the arm side with late run early on.  Behrmann settled in well showing the ability to work both sides of the plate with two pitches.  Breaking ball sat 64-67 with 1/7 shape and early break.  Competes well.  Will need to fill in physically as he matures.

6/21/16:
The 6 foot 2 155 first baseman showcased a balanced setup and short stride.  Backside and balance are average.  Bat path is slightly uphill with a tendency to pull.

10/18/15:
6-foot, 150 pound southpaw pitches from a high 3/4 slot with above average arm speed. Stab on the backside.  Regular effort with some rhythm. Lands open.  Fastball was 74-77 with late run and thrown for a strike.  Showed good feel for his breaking ball; 1/7 shape for a strike at 63-64. Changeup was 70-71.

Defensively, moves well with average actions. Accurate arm at 74 mph.  At the plate hits from a tall, open setup, loads back.  Stride is short. Tendency to over rotate the lower half.  Average bat speed, pull-side type hitter.  Recorded a high exit velocity of 76 mph and ran a 7.25-60.
