Scouting Report

6/13/17:  5-foot-11, 175 pound right-handed pitcher sat 80-83mph with the fastball from a high 3/4 slot.  Shows command to both sides of the plate.  Breaking ball has depth with 11/5 shape at 70-72.  Slightly closed in shoulders during load.  Lands on 3B side of mound. Good rhythm down the mound, drop and drive type delivery.  Finishes athletically. 

2/19/17: 5-foot-11, 175 pound outfielder.  Offensively, hits from a balanced setup, leg kick timing trigger. Average lower half, maintains balance. Showcased average bat speed with a level swing path.  Shows fluid rhythm throughout the swing.  Line drive approach.  Registered a high exit velocity of 83 mph.  Defensively, throws from a long, high ¾ arm action with accuracy and some carry.  Throws topped at 86 mph.  Possesses fluid footwork, quick exchange.  Plays through the baseball.  Ran a 6.99 in the laser-timed 60 yard dash. 

10/16/16: 5-foot-10, 165 pounder works at a quick pace on the bump. Pitches from a ¾ arm angle with a long, loose arm action.  Quick arm speed.  Max effort with a rushed delivery.  Shoulders work uphill, falls off towards 1B side.  Lands closed.  Fastball was straight at 83-87, topping out at 88.  Breaking ball has gradual movement from an 11/5 shape, erratic in the zone at 70-74.  Changeup was thrown with near fastball arm speed with some arm side run and thrown for a strike at 75-77.  Defensively in the OF uses a long, loose ¾ arm action.  Throws topped out at 89 with carry.  Footwork is quick.  Exchange is clean, packs during the exchange. Offensively, the RHH hits from a narrow, slightly open setup. Long stride, small load back. Lower half needs refined.  Short, quick hands to the baseball, high exit velocity of 83.     

6/23/16:  6-foot, 175 pound righty works from a long, high 3/4 arm action with above average arm speed.  Fastball was 80-83, touching 84 and thrown for a strike.  Spun the breaking ball well at 70-72.  Changeup was 75-77.
