Final 2024 Rankings Update: Indiana Class of 2026
December 4, 2024
Our 2026 rankings have been updated as we close the door on 2024. The 2025 season will be a vital one for a large majority of this list now that recruiters have shifted focus to this group. We have 30 commitments in total from this group, 28 to the Division I level, with 18 of those DI recruits verbally committed to Power 4 programs. However, the uncommitted players in this class will certainly bring recruiters to the Hoosier State in 2025 due to the depth of this group. Without further ado, find the full list, expanded to 250 prospects, HERE.
We went in depth on some of the top uncommitted prospects in the class last week, those articles are hyperlinked below.
+ 2026 Uncommitted Position Players
We go in depth on eleven players who saw their stock rise during the 2024 fall, while also highlighting the 30 players currently committed in this class.
While much of the list remains unchanged, the eleven players highlighted below do see themselves rise in this update, all players now ranked within our Top 50.
Collin Marcum RHP / Bloomington High School South, IN / 2026+ Seeing a moderate rise in this update after showing as one of my favorite uncommitted arms on the fall circuit, Marcum jumps 17 spots, now comfortably inside the Top 20. There is a ton of upside in this right-hander out of Bloomington, due largely to his athletic, high-waisted, 6-foot-2 frame, quality movement patterns, and the fact that he is one of the younger prospects in the entire class. Marcum boasts a fastball that has reached 91 mph, along with an upside breaking ball that took mega-strides throughout 2024. Marcum made a verbal commitment to Indiana University following his big performance at our Fall State Games. |
Logan Johnston RHP / Crown Point, IN / 2026+ Johnston was one of my "picks that clicked" following the summer circuit, showing well at the Top Prospect Games in June and seeing himself rise in our last update. Johnston rises again in this update, now inside the Top 20, after putting together a quality fall that culminated in a big performance at our Fall State Games - leading to his commitment to Indiana University. The uber-projectable, 6-foot-6 strike-thrower, offers outlier release traits to pair with a frame that will allow his stuff to louden in a hurry. |
Peyton Gray SS / Hertige Hills, IN / 2026+ Gray sees a slight rise in this update, now ranked as the No. 2 shortstop in the class. The Western Kentucky commit continues to elevate his game with more physicality and an improved run tool, now standing at 6-foot-3, 195 pounds. Gray showed out at the Razorbacks Scout Day this fall, turning in a 6.87 60-yard dash to go along with a 92 mph arm across the infield. The long-levered right-handed hitter shows flashes of pull-side power now, and the frame still holds room for more strength gains that should bring even more thunder to Gray's bat. |
Tate Troxell RHP / Guerin Catholic, IN / 2026+ An Alabama recruit, Troxell has built a reputation over the last couple of seasons of pouring the ball over the plate, however his up-tick in velocity/stuff this fall merits a slight rise within this update. A physical, 6-foot-4 presence, Troxell ran his fastball up to 91 this fall while showcasing a much improved breaking ball that climbed into the low-80s. The overall stuff improving is an encouraging sign here, making 2025 a potential breakout year for Troxell. |
Sam Gooch RHP / Greencastle High School, IN / 2026+ After missing the summer due to injury, Gooch returned to the mound with a bang on the fall circuit, showing a +5 mph tick compared to our last looks (T 90) - while showing the same strike-throwing nature that we've seen of him over the past two seasons. There is tons of athleticism and twitch in his 6-foot, 170 pound frame and Gooch is certainly an arm for recruiters to see early in the 2025 spring. |
Eric McAtee RHP / Center Grove High School, IN / 2026+ One of many high-upside arms in Indiana's 2026 group - McAtee sees a near 20-spot rise after showing well on the fall circuit. The projectable, 6-foot-4 right-hander boasts a whippy, full-circle arm action to combine with a loose, hyper-mobile frame and high spin fastball - traits to suggest a velocity jump is looming. While there are some inconsistencies in the operation, McAtee has a chance to be one of the hardest throwers in the class when it is all said and done. |
Kaden Maxwell LHP / Andrean, IN / 2026+ Maxwell is the biggest riser in this update, jumping over 60 spots to No. 38 and now the top ranked uncommitted southpaw in the class. Maxwell broke out at our Fall State Games, showing off a heavy fastball up to 87 mph, along with two distinct breaking balls that hold swing-and-miss upside. The physical, 6-foot-2 southpaw offers a well-sequenced delivery to pair with short, compact arm action and more jumps likely. |
Jacob Morris RHP/SS / New Palestine, IN / 2026+ Morris sees a slight rise in this update, a two-way prospect who elevated himself with strong performances on the mound during the 2024 season. I love the operation Morris brings to the mound as he moves down the slope with athleticism to allow an ultra-quick arm to follow. Morris consistently worked his fastball into the upper-80s during fall check-ins, filling the zone at an above average clip and mixing with a high spin breaking ball that plays in the low-70s. If strength gains are made this offseason, Morris could make another jump heading into next spring. |
Kaleb Hacker RHP / Portage High School, IN / 2026+ A Future Gamer in 2024, Hacker showed as one of the top arms at the 2024 Fall State Games, helping him jump 20 spots in this update. Toeing the rubber with a big presence at 6-foot-6, 235 pounds - Hacker offers a high, over-the-top arm slot that allows for a steep approach angle on his carry fastball that works up to 89 mph. He compliments the heater with a mid-70s breaking ball that plays with depth, allowing the fastball to play even higher when tunneled properly. |
Aidan Creasbaum 3B / Hanover Central High School, IN / 2026+ A right-handed hitter that produced again & again during in-game looks this fall - Creasbaum enjoys a rise in this update. The strong, 6-foot, 200 pounder creates bat speed in a short window that allows for a strong mix of barrel strength and accuracy, while his uphill barrel path optimizes hard contact. Creasbaum's strong fall culminated in a standout performance at our Fall State Games, where he showed as one of the best bats at the event, leading to his commitment to Valparaiso shortly after. |
Karson Smith SS / Guerin Catholic, IN / 2026+ A '26 with some of the best defensive abilities of any uncommitted player in the class - Smith parlayed a solid showing at our Indy Fall Open with a handful of good looks on the fall circuit, meriting a 15-spot bump within this update. The Guerin Catholic product boasts a solid mix of tools with in-game instincts and a track record of success. The lanky, 5-foot-11, 160 pounder burned a 6.77 60-yard dash in showcase to pair with above average arm strength, very strong defensive actions, and a fluid stroke from the right-side. Offensively, his game is geared towards line drive contact, though strength gains will ultimately louden the offensive profile. |
