Preseason All-State: Weekend Preview & Predictions

Cooper Trinkle
Indiana Scouting Director

The Preseason All-State weekend is finally upon us and we are set to host over 300 prospects in the 2026-2027 classes at Pro X in Westfield this weekend. The juniors (2026s) will lead us off on Saturday, followed by the sophomores (2027s) on Sunday. This invite-only event has a rich history of attracting some of the best talent within the state year-in and year-out.

Quick Look

+ There are twenty-one division one recruits signed up for the Upperclass portion of the event currently, highlighted by several Power 4 recruits. Over 70% of our current top 50 prospects in the 2026 class will be attending, including eight players featured in the top 10 of the class. The arm talent will likely be outstanding and is always a highlight on the Upperclass event. Last year, we had seventeen prospect at the Upperclass All-State show a 90 mph fastball or better,  and this class of arms has a chance to eclipse that total. The position player crop is solid, as well, with a handful of potential prep draft prospects in attendance on the position side.

+ The Underclass event is always my favorite of the year. This is the age that we tend to see prospects really start to develop and mature, and there is always a handful of prospects at this event that massively elevate their prospect status after an offseason of work. Nearly 90% of our top 50 is registered, setting the stage for a highly-competitive atmosphere with prospects eager to improve their prospect status prior to the spring, and prior to August 1 - when recruiting will open for this class. This event is easily our largest identifier for our Future Games team, and last year 17 of the 25 players who represented Team Indiana at the Future Games participated in this event
