2025s at the Super 60
The 2025 Super 60 is rapidly approaching and once again loaded with premier prep talent. Two big breakout candidates of this years' prospects include CF Brandon Logan (FW Snider; Notre Dame) and RHP Xavier Carrera (Boone Grove; Indiana). Logan is a true CF profile and right now plus defender. He is a powerful runner, showing off his tool on the bases and tracking. He holds upside as a top of the lineup bat with above average impact. Presently he shows good bat-to-ball with plate discipline to pair. He is a muscular, 6-foot, 185 pounder dual-sport commit to play safety at Notre Dame. Carrera will bring an uber-athletic look to the mound. He looks like a professional in the uniform with a loose, athletic, 6-foot-3, 205 pound frame. The lower half is well-synced and powerful. His arm is very quick and his fastball may be one of the loudest of the event. Carrera reached 97 last summer and pitched in the mid-90s with an upper-70s slider that flashed at times.
SS JD Stein (Carmel; Wake Forest) will be a high-energy, fun watch. The 5-foot-7 shortstop brings a solid toolset with a recorded 6.66 60-yard dash and 97 mph arm across. The foot speed plays at a present 50-55, with the arm being a plus tool. He owns the best bat-to-ball in the class with a well-sequenced swing that produces more impact than the frame suggests. Stein is light-footed on the dirt with soft hands to pair, plus the aforementioned arm strength, with a chance to stick at short. OF Davian Carrera (Boone Grove; Indiana) is a helium candidate with a run-producer's look at 6-foot-3, 210 pounds in the left-handed batters' box. The swing works on-plane with above average strength presently and even room to add to the athletic frame. The arm is a tool, up to 89 on the mound last summer, working with advanced strength. He is an average to better straight-line runner with the ability to play corner OF and 1B.
