Top 25 Profiles of 2024: No. 9 Josh Flores

Conner Madding

As we are nearing the end of another calendar year, we have compiled a list of the top 25 most viewed Indiana player profiles this year.  According to our research through our google analytics, these are the most viewed profiles by you the reader in 2024.

Coming in at No. 9 is '25 RHP Josh Flores (Lake Central HS). A 6-foot-1, 205-pound right-handed pitcher. Flores enjoyed a very successful 2024, as his stock skyrocketed throughout. The righty made a statement at the Preseason All-State in March, showing a low 90s fastball to go along with wipeout spin. Flores showed much of the same wipeout stuff in the spring for the Lake Central Indians, striking-out 41 batters in 19.2 innings pitched. The Kentucky commit cemented himself as a draft follow on the summer and fall circuits, showing some of the best pure stuff in the class and reaching 96 mph. Flores is currently ranked #5 in the state and #101 in the country. He is primed for a big senior season.

Scouting Report

3/02/24

Flores provided a loud look in his bullpen after coming off a breakout sophomore season. Athletic at 6-foot-1, 195 pounds with standout body control - the Cincinnati recruit showed an electric, four-pitch arsenal. The arm action is longer and he uses his front arm as a lever to create arm speed. A dynamic mover, the delivery works in-line with a controlled violence down the slope. Flores worked his fastball at 91-93 mph, complimented by a tightly-spun, bullet slider at 82-83 mph (2778 avg spin). Flores showed a 77-81 mph curveball with downer break and 11/5 shape, while also showcasing an 82-85 mph changeup with 16.6" of horizontal break.
