OUTLOOK

Coach Hess’ Indians look to have one of the top teams in 6A this spring.  They feature six returning starting position players, most with significant playing time logged in their careers to date.  On the mound they are lead by 1st Team All-State Pitcher senior RHP Henry de Noble, emerging junior RHP Jesse Steinbring and RHP/IF Jacob Biller.  The Indians outfield is very athletic with Wichita State signee Bret Fehr, one of the fastest players in the state, as well as Kellen Myers, a plus defender.  Manhattan has three of the Top 35 players in the 2014 class in the Prep Baseball Report Kansas Player Rankings in de Nobile, Fehr and Biller – along with highly regarded class of 2015 prospect Steinbring.
