Season Outlook

The Panthers look to get back to the 6A State Tournament this spring. Butler County commit, Alex Jacobs will be asked to pick the the bulk of the innings along with fellow right-hander Noah JohnsonBlayten Tullis, Brayden Paxton and Grant Adler will add depth to the pitching staff and will also contribute with big innings on the mound.  Look for Paxton to have an impact offensively as well with Brett Westerman and Alex McGill rounding out the line up with upper class experience.  Derby has some exciting young players as well.  Jackson Syring is physical and athletic and looks to build on the last third of the 2017 season. Hunger Igo is an athletic shortstop and sophomore Grant Adler will play a roll on the mound and at third base.  In 2018, the Derby Panthers will be poised to make another run in the Kansas 6A State Tournament.
