The Kansas high school baseball season kicks off on Mar. 20, opening day for regular season action under KSHSAA regulations. Leading up to opening day, we’ll be publishing our team previews ahead of the 2025 spring season, touching on programs spanning all state classifications, counting down to the official Prep Baseball Kansas Preseason Power 25 Rankings.

Perennially, we’ve submitted a preseason questionnaire to high school head coaches across the entire state. Their responses have been flooding in and we’re using the detailed insight they’ve provided in our team-by-team preseason analysis.

Head Coach: Weston Gloss (3 years)
Classification: 3A
League: Pioneer League
2024 Record (Finish): 20-5 (Lost to state champion Hayden in extra innings in regionals)

 


2025 SEASON OUTLOOK

No. of Returning Position Players: 2 Starters - We have a number of current Juniors who will step up and play significant time.
No. of Returning Pitchers: 1 that pitched significant time last year - There will be number of juniors that will step up and pitch.

Top Returners:

  • 1B/P Jalen Smith (2025) - 6 ft 6 in
  • OF Breylan Gleason (2025) - 5 ft 11 in

We have a lot of open spots this year. A few guys who I can really see contributing are:
