2025 KSHSAA Team Previews: Marysville Bulldogs
March 4, 2025
The Kansas high school baseball season kicks off on Mar. 20, opening day for regular season action under KSHSAA regulations. Leading up to opening day, we’ll be publishing our team previews ahead of the 2025 spring season, touching on programs spanning all state classifications, counting down to the official Prep Baseball Kansas Preseason Power 25 Rankings.
Perennially, we’ve submitted a preseason questionnaire to high school head coaches across the entire state. Their responses have been flooding in and we’re using the detailed insight they’ve provided in our team-by-team preseason analysis.
Our 2025 preseason coverage continues today.

Coach’s Insight: “We have 8 starters that have had multiple years of Varsity experience. We look to continue to build on our successful 2024 post season in which we qualified for the 3A State Tournament for the first time since 2006. We play in arguably the toughest 4A league with State ranked schools such as Clay Center, Abilene and now the addition of Rock Creek. I think it will prepare us well for 3A post-season play. It will be difficult to replace Bryant Siemens (Cowley CC) who had tremendous swing and miss talent from the left side of the mound. Our pitching staff will need to cut down on our walks since our pitching staff lacks dominating fastball velocity.” – John Haefele, head coach
