Five Kansas Prospects in the Class of 2022 Top-500

Earlier today, Shooter Hunt, combined with our boots-on-the-ground staff, got together and compiled the updated Class of 2022 rankings list. The list was expanded from 400 to 500 and included five Kansas prospects.

Coming in at No. 18 nationally, RHP Ben Bybee (Blue Valley Southwest) is the highest ranked Kansas prospect. Bybee is committed to Arkansas and is highly regarded as one of the top arms in the country.

No. 18 Ben Bybee (Blue Valley Southwest), RHP

Ranked No. 18 in the country, Bybee has become a top prospect in the class and the nation. Committed to Arkansas.

No. 73 Caden Marcum (Paola), OF

Marcum checks in at No. 73 and is committed to the University of Tennessee. Marcum is an OF/RHP that touts a strong arm. Attended the PBR Jr. Future Games as a part of Team Missouri in 2018

No. 125 Dylan Dreiling (Hays), OF/LHP

Dreiling sports the national 125-spot. He recently attended the MOKAN Preseason All-State. The annual event hosts the best players in Missouri and Kansas, and he cemented himself as a top 2022 follow. At the event, Dreiling ran a 6.94 60-yard dash, threw 85 mph from the OF and hit 94 mph off the tee at the exit velocity station. He jumped on the mound and ran his FB up to 82 mph. No. 393 Cooper Kelly (Blue Valley Southwest), INF

Kelly attended the MOKAN Preseason All-State recently, too, and he showed by he's moving up the ranks. The switch-hitting prospect has one of the cleanest swings in the class and finds the barrel consistently. Strong arm across the diamond, throwing 85 mph from SS.

No. 474 Blake Reeder (Shawnee Mission Northwest), INF

Reeder caps off the Kansas prospects coming in at No. 474. The Missouri/Kansas saw Reeder at the MOKAN Preseason All-State a couple months back where he ran a 7.19 60-yard dash and showed pop at the plate with an 87 mph exit velo. Reeder has a strong, physical build at 6-foot-3, 210 pounds. Not many swing the bat with more intent than Reeder.
