Prep Baseball Report's IA Fall Review event took place on Sunday, October 16, 2016. The event was held indoors at Sports Iowa located in Ames, Iowa. The event featured 2017-2020 prospects from Iowa and Kansas who showcased their talents in front of our scouting staff. Thank you to the players, parents, my staff and the staff at Sports Iowa for a great event.

Today we take a look at the Top Overall Prospect from the event. Look forward many of these players to move up, or in some cases, move into their respective class rankings for the state.

top overall Prospects

1. Luke Ira, SS, Solon, 2018
6-foot, 165-pound right-handed hitting shortstop. #30 ranked player in IA 2018 class. 6.85 runner. Slight shoulder load with knee to knee trigger, short to contact with line drive swing plane, some stiffness with both hands on bat through swing, gap to gap approach with consistent solid line drive and ground ball contact, 85 mph exit velocity. Shows actions in field with above avg. hands and feet, plays through the baseball and has sure hands, quick release and has accuracy to bag, 78 mph arm strength.
