We’ve submitted a Preseason Questionnaire to high school head coaches across the entire state. Their responses have been flooding in and we’re using the detailed insight they’ve provided in our team-by-team preseason analysis.

OUTLOOK

As they enter the 2022 season the Mustangs we lean heavily on their speed and athleticism to compete at a high level. They return only one starter, but have confidence in their new faces to step up and run with opportunities.

Impact PLAYERS

Jaxon Goldberg, 2023, INF

A two sport star, Goldberg is a leader on the diamond and the gridiron. Goldberg was an Honorable Mention EKL last season and will again be looked to as a catalyst for the Mustangs. Goldberg is one of the top uncommitted players in the country.

Jaxon Goldberg (7/28/21)

Caleb Asjes, 2022, UTL, Highland CC commit

A Highland Community College commit, Asjes can play multiple positions and impact the game with his athleticism offensively and defensively.

Caleb Asjes (2/22/20)

Jordan Rosenberg, 2022, INF Maryville University commit

A Maryville University commit, Rosenberg is a fundamentally sound player who can execute and make winning plays for the Mustangs this spring.

Jordan Rosenberg (10/4/20)

Noah Barber, 2023, OF/P

One of the top uncommitted players in the KS 2023 class, Barber is an elite athlete. Defensively,  Barber uses his tools to be a plus defender in CF. Offensively, the right-handed hitter shows bat speed and pop at the plate. Barber has a chance to be a star for the Mustangs as he continues to polish his skill set.

Noah Barber (8/29/21)

Top Newcomers

Will Larson, 2022, LHP

Blake Garrett, 2023, LHP

The physically impressive 6-foot-6, 200-pound left-hander is poised to make a velo jump and could be a difference maker this year.

Griffin Allen, 2024, RHP

Coming back from some time off of the mound, the right-hander who has already been up into the mid 80s will look to play a big role on the mound this season.

Carson Wasinger, 1B, 2024

A physical 6-foot-4, 195-pound power bat from the right side that could make an impact for the Mustangs this year.
