The Top 3

Cameron Carter OF / LHP / Olathe West, KS / 2024

One of the most tooled out players in the country in the 2024 class, Carter has shown a 6.64 60, 87 outfield velo, 89 off the tee, and up to 88 on the mound from the left-side. The left-handed hitter produced in a big way all spring hitting for average and stealing bags while also developing some juice. Carter is also and elite center-fielder who plays the position beyond his years. At the preseason BC scout Day, Carter showed that he is continuing to improve, boosting every one of his measurables.

Jack Jones 1B / OF / Shawnee Mission East, KS / 2024

Jones has the frame and athleticism that scouts dream on. Don't let the fact that he plays most of his innings at first base fool you, he is arguably the most athletic first baseman in the country and could easily be at home in right field or third base as well. Jones has also shown flashes of elite juice at the dish.

Blake O'Brien OF / RHP / St. Thomas Aquinas, KS / 2024

One of the most polished young players in the country on both sides of the ball, O'Brien is a true two-way prospect who knows how to play the game. O'Brian shined at this year's future games where he was up to 86 on the mound with an advanced 3 pitch mix while also collecting hits in the box. O'Brien ran a 6.94 60 and was 90 from the outfield as well. O'Brien has followed up a strong summer with a strong spring for St. Thomas Aquinas.

The Risers
As with every season that goes by, many players take major leaps physically and developmentally. Below are some of the biggest risers since our latest rankings.

Liam Roche LHP / 1B / Shawnee Mission South, KS / 2024

One of the most electric young arms in the state. The left-hander was up to 88 at the MOKAN Preseason All-State and flashed advanced off speed and elite spin. Rocha jumps up 9 spots into the top 10 thank to his recent velo jump and his polished delivery and clean arm action should allow more to come.

Carson Wasinger 1B / 3B / Blue Valley North, KS / 2024

Wasinger makes his second appearance on our risers list as he continues a meteoric rise up the rankings as he has shown that his unique blend of power and speed plays in game for Blue Valley North in a big way. Wasinger has lead the Mustang offense in the middle of the lineup providing consistent doubles threat.

Whit Rhodes RHP / Hesston, KS / 2024

Rhodes made a huge velo jump at the MOKAN Preseason All-State were he was up to 87 and filling up the strike zone. The physical right hander has followed up the impressive showcase performance with a very strong spring where he has racked up some impressive strikeout numbers.

The Newcomers
In the offseason, we found a couple of difference makers who earned their way into our rankings. All three of the prospects below enter the rankings in the top 50.

Caden Howell OF / RHP / Lansing, KS / 2024

Howell burst onto the scene with an eye popping performance a the Next Level Scout Day this preseason. Howell was 90 off the tee, 84 from the outfield, and most impressively up to 86 on the mound. The right-hander also flashed a sharp breaking ball.

Richard Groebl 1B / 3B / Blue Valley North , KS / 2024

Groebl jumps into the rankings in the top 30 after bettering all of his numbers in a big way and adding polish and strength to his left handed swing. Groebl barreled almost every ball in his round of BP at the BTL Scout Day. At 6-3, 200-pounds it doesn't take much of a dreamer to imagine Groebl having success in his high school career and at the next level.

Cole Heitmann SS / 2B / De Soto, KS / 2024

Heitmann, a quick twitch SS, had a strong showing at the BTL Scout Day. Heitmann ripped off an impressive 4.1 home-to-first time as well as showing a strong arm across the diamond at 81 mph. Offensively, the right-handed hitter plays to his tools with a flat and middle of the field approach.
