KS Uncommitted Spotlight: OF Austin Selenke

This fall and winter PBR will be highlighting some of the top uncommitted players in the 2023 and 2024 classes. Today, we take an in-depth look at 2024 OF Austin Selenke. The Bishop Carrol product is one of the most quick twitch prospects in the state and has continued to polish his game, getting better each time we see him. Defensively, Selenke shows the potential to be a game changing centerfielder at the next level and a table setter at the top of a lineup.

Positional Profile: OF/LHP Follow in the 2024 class in KS.
Body: 5-9, 155-pounds. Compact, athletic frame.
Hits: RHH. Wide, balanced stance with hands set out front. Quick leg lift and hand load with minimal stride. Slight uphill swing plane, looking to elevate the ball. Quick hands, generating bat speed through the zone. Fly ball and line-drive contact to all fields.
Power: 91 max exit velocity, averaged 83.2 MPH. 342' max distance. Solid bat speed.
Arm: LH. Long, clean high-3/4 arm action. Shows solid carry and accuracy with arm speed.
Defense: Direct routes with short choppy footwork. Clean gather with glove to the side of his body. Quick exchange and release.
Run: 6.58 runner in the 60. Above-average runner.
