The Kansas high school season is nearing quickly, and we're here to cover it. Over the next several weeks, leading up to opening day, we’ll be publishing our team previews ahead of the 2023 spring season, touching on programs spanning all state classifications, leading into a countdown through the official PBR Kansas Preseason Power 20 Rankings.

We’ve submitted a Preseason Questionnaire to high school head coaches across the entire state. Their responses have been flooding in and we’re using the detailed insight they’ve provided in our team-by-team preseason analysis.

OUTLOOK

The strength of the Wolfdogs will be their returning pitching and strong  upperclassman leadership, 

 The Wolfdogs will need to fill a few crutial postions on defense. They will also need their pitching and defense improve throughout the year to make a deep post season run. 

IMPACT PLAYERS

Isaac Durst P/3B, 2023, 6’ 240 R/R.
Team Captain and number one pitcher . 2.70 ERA 38 innings pitched Tough competitor
Corey Reese Jr. C/P/ utility 2024.5’8” 185. L/R. 2022
KABC all state honorable mention utility player. Can play all positions at a high level. Led team in BA .569, and OBP .694 last year. Scored 31R and stole 22 bases.
Drew Konrade CF/P, 2025 6’1” 175, Bats L throws R. 2022
KABC 2nd team all state OF as a freshman. Did not commit an error (38 chances)and led team in hits and triples with 30 and 3 and had a freshman school record BA of .536.
