The Kansas high school season is nearing quickly, and we're here to cover it. Over the next several weeks, leading up to opening day, we’ll be publishing our team previews ahead of the 2023 spring season, touching on programs spanning all state classifications, leading into a countdown through the official PBR Kansas Preseason Power 20 Rankings.

We’ve submitted a Preseason Questionnaire to high school head coaches across the entire state. Their responses have been flooding in and we’re using the detailed insight they’ve provided in our team-by-team preseason analysis.

OUTLOOK

Little River has a lot to be excited about for this upcoming season, with 7 starters returning to the team. This will provide them an exceptional amount of experience, and can give younger guys who have to step up leaders to follow.

Filling in the holes of losing two top players from last years roster, Kaden Schafer and Ty Herzog, is something that Little River will have to attempt to accomplish in order to have the same offensive production as the did last season.

Dalton Mantz-Sr. C-P Throw/Bats Right. Great competitor and baseball IQ. Signed with Hutchinson Community College.

Grant Stephens-Sr. OF Bats/Throws Right. Very tough out for opposing teams.

Logan Renken- So. P-SS Bats Left and Throws Right. Hard worker with a lot of potential.

Spencer Strecker-So. P-1B Bats/Throws Right. Pitched in the championship game last May. (Mission Valley)

Corbin Herbst -Sr. OF Bats/Throws Right. Covers a lot of ground in the outfield.
