The Kansas high school season is nearing quickly, and we're here to cover it. Over the next several weeks, leading up to opening day, we’ll be publishing our team previews ahead of the 2023 spring season, touching on programs spanning all state classifications, leading into a countdown through the official PBR Kansas Preseason Power 20 Rankings.

We’ve submitted a Preseason Questionnaire to high school head coaches across the entire state. Their responses have been flooding in and we’re using the detailed insight they’ve provided in our team-by-team preseason analysis.

OUTLOOK

Veteran team that took some lumps having to play at the varsity level as freshman and sophomores. We return every player from last years team plus add a previous starter back from injury and a transfer. Also add a good size freshman class to supplement a roster that was down to 12 healthy bodies at the end of 2022. Pitching depth will be a strength. Team speed also a plus.

Defense was our biggest up and down last season. Our pitching staff is deep and full of strike throwers. When we played catch well, we were a tough team to beat. We also showed that ability to let big innings happen by throwing the ball all over the yard.
