Rankings Process Explained

THE TOP 10

Beau Peterson C / RHP / Mill Valley, KS / 2026

Not just only the top ranked prospect in KS, Peterson will likely see his name towards the top of the PBR Overall Rankings when the release on Friday. A primary catcher with college ready pop times, Peterson has the athleticism and skill to play any position on the field at a high level. Offensively, the left-handed hitter shows elite strength for his age with a polished swing. And for good measure, the right-hander can pound the strike zone in the upper 80s with reports of touching 90.  Peterson has already committed to Nebraska.

Lincoln Boyle RHP / OF / St. Thomas Aquinas, KS / 2026

The 6-foot-4, 200-pound right-hander shows the potential to be one of the top 2026 power right-handers in the country. The Arkansas commit has ran his fastball well into the upper 80s and shows all the makings of an arm that is going to continue to add velo. Offensively, the left-handed hitter uses his long levers and strength to launch balls when he gets his hands extended.

Keaton Neal
SS / RHP / Springhill, KS / 2026

Keaton Neal keeps getting better and better every time we see him. The polished two-way prospect shines just as bright on both sides of the ball. On the mound, Neal routinely runs his fastball up to 86 and features a college ready slider in the low-mid 70s. Offensively, the right-handed hitter shows high end bat speed with gap-to-gap strength and the speed to turn doubles into triples. Defensively, Neal shows all of the skill to stick in the middle of the diamond long term.

Ethan Carswell SS / 2B / Blue Valley, KS / 2026

There are few players in the Midwest play the game at a consistently high level as Ethan "Easy" Carswell. The switch hitting SS stood out as arguably the best player on one of the top teams at this year's Junior Future Games. Carswell shows college ready defense and high end pitch recognition in the box with the strength to do damage every time he steps into the box.

Parker Clubb C / RHP / Mulvane , KS / 2026

The recent Louisville commit is yet another elite two-way prospect on our list. A primary catcher Clubb is one of the best receivers in the state with a strong and accurate arm. Clubb's best attribute though is his IQ and game management skills. On the mound, Clubb has proven that he can fill up the zone with a FB that has been up to 86 multiple times.

Cale Fossett 3B / RHP / Shawnee Mission North , KS / 2026

Another physically impressive two-way prospect, Fossett is imposing on the mound at 6-foot-1, 190-pounds. The right-hander seems to rack up big strikeout numbers every time he steps to the rubber. Up to 86 in multiple outings with a fastball the jumps on hitter. Offensively, the right-handed hitter shows the ability to control the barrel with pop to all fields.

Max Hamilton RHP / OF / Olathe West, KS / 2026

Hamilton is a broad shouldered right-hander that shows arguably the easiest velo in this group. Up to 86 on the mound, Hamilton uses a low energy delivery that he repeats well and the ball jumps out of his hand

Carson May C / RHP / Olathe East, KS / 2026

No hitter had a more impressive showing at this year's Junior Future Games than Carson May. The right-handed hitting catcher was a doubles machine that produced late inning heroics multiple times for team MOKAN. Showing high end feel behind the plate for a young player with an XL frame, May projects to be a middle of the order bat at the next level.

Roch Emanuel RHP / OF / Piper, KS / 2026

Emanuel burst onto the scene at the Competitive Edge Scout Day. The 6-foot-4 210-pound right-hander absolutely filled up the zone with a fastball that ranged 82-85 and mixed tight slider with depth at 71-74.

Ben Graves MIF / RHP / Free State , KS / 2026

It's all about easy of actions and high level skill with Graves. Defensively, the true shortstop shows the light footwork, soft hands, strong and accurate arm to stick there. Offensively, the left-handed hitter has shown the ability to handle elite arms and consistently hit for a high average. On the mound, Graves is a high end strike thrower who's arm action and delivery will allow for much for velo to come.
