The PBR Kansas 2022 Class Rankings have been updated after a baseball packed Fall. The 2022s continue to add depth to an already talented class with some players who have seen major development and a surprising number of talented newcomers to the list. Check out the risers, newcomers, and fully expanded rankings, below.

The Top 3

Ben Bybee RHP / 1B / Blue Valley Southwest, KS / 2022

At 6-foot-6 225-pounds, Bybee remains one of the most physically impressive players in the state. Offensively, The right-handed hitter helped BVSW to a 5A State Championship this spring where he showed impressive power in the box.  Bybee's future though remains on the mound, though. Bybee returned to the mound this fall and more than picked up where he left off. We will get to see Bybee at this year's Super 60 preseason procase.

RHP / OF / PAOLA, KS / 2022

Most recently, we got to see Marcum at the Area Code games where he was 88-91 still showing a very high celling with his long athletic frame and clean arm action. Marcum is still developing his command and appears to have more velo in the tank.

Dylan Dreiling OF / LHP / Hays, KS / 2022

Dreiling was one of the standout stars of the 5A state tournament producing multiple multi-hit games and tossed a gem for the Indians. The left-hander hitter shows pop to all fields and control for the barrel as well as athleticism in the outfield with arm strength.

The Risers
As with every season that goes by, many players take major leaps physically and developmentally. Below are some of the biggest risers since our latest rankings.

Edwin White RHP / 1B / Bishop Miege , KS / 2022

White has been in the mix as a strike thrower with projection for a while now, but it was at the Cavalier Scout Day where that projection started to become reality. He pounded the zone with a fastball that sat 88-90 and mixed a sharp breaking ball as well. White committed to SEMO shortly after the event.

Landon Reith LHP / OF / De Soto, KS / 2022

Reith showed the deception and arm strength that everyone is looking for in his performance at the MOKAN Fall Prospect Game. Into the mid-80s with the fastball form a low-3/4 slot paired with a breaking ball with depth Reith with have the stuff to get outs for Pittsburg State as long as he continue to polish his command as well.

Hunter Henderson C / 1B / Augusta , KS / 2022

Henderson is a strong bodied and durable 6-foot-1, 190-pound backstop with a workers mentality. The right-handed hitter puts throws on the bag in the very low 2s and produces exit velos up to 93 in BP. Henderson showed well all the way around at the KS Fall Prospect Games improving in almost every category and committed to Fort Scott CC shortly after.

The Newcomers
In the offseason, we found a couple of difference makers who earned their way into our rankings. All three of the prospects below enter the rankings in the top 50.

Hamin Feliz OF / Life Prep Academy, KS / 2022

The recent Johnson County commit jumps into the KS 2022 rankings at No. 5 after a jaw dropping day at the OK Preseason ID. The 6-foot-4, 200-pound athlete ran a 7.12 60, was 89 from the outfield, and posted a top exit velo of 97.7. The left-handed hitter not only put up a huge max exit velo, but had an average of over 93 as well as measuring off the charts on blast metrics swing measurables. A pro prospect for sure, Feliz will be a fun prospect to follow this spring.

Jesus Rodriguez OF / Life Prep Academy, KS / 2022

Another outfielder from Life Prep Academy making a big splash into the ranking, Rodriguez enters just outside of the top 10 at No. 11. The 6-foot-3, 185-pound athlete ran a 6.94 60, was 88 from the outfield, and showed an eye popping exit velo of over 98 mph with an average just under 93. With some project still in the frame Rodriguez will be a fun follow as he choses a school and jumps on pro radars this spring.

A major part of the impressive Gardner Edgerton high school team last spring, Schrack jumps into the rankings after putting up solid numbers at the Cavalier Scout Day this fall.
