It’s been a busy year for 2016 SS/OF Nolan “Nonie” Williams (Turner HS, KS), a Louisiana State recruit teeming with athleticism and speed. Not only did he reclassify from being a 2017, but he’s also gotten more serious about switch-hitting.

“Growing up, I’ve always batted lefty in Wiffle ball or just goofing around,” he said. “Last March, that was first time I gave it a go in high school ball. I think I got six lefty at-bats and I hit a home run and a triple. Once I went to Tournament of Stars and against all those good guys, I put it away and went righty. At Area Codes, I broke it out again and faced Reggie Lawson and a couple other big arms and saw where I was.”
