Scouting Report

6/26/18 - Michaud has an athletic build at 5-foot-10 and 165 pounds from Ft. Scott HS. At the event he ran a 7.05 60, 4.16 home-to-first, quickest time at the event, and posted an exit velocity of 83 mph. During batting practice, Michaud shows a repeatable swing, quiet load, flat bat path, remains balanced throughout, showed hard line drive and ground ball contact to LF, during game action he singled to LF and tripled down RF line. Defensively, Michaud is very aggressive to the baseball, ¾ arm slot, momentum towards target, positional velo of 80 mph, fairly accurate throws.

6/20/17 - Michaud is a 5-foot-10 155-pound right-handed hitting outfielder and shortstop in Kansas’ 2019 class.  He ran a 7.04 60 and 4.45 home to first.  He has an exit velocity of 73 mph. At the plate, athletic stance, smooth rhythm, solid middle to opposite field line drives, short stride, level bat path, repeats swing and shows feel for the barrel.  In the outfield, 75 mph positional velo, athletic actions, quick catch and throw, high three quarters arm slot, aggressive to the ball with momentum to throw, mostly accurate throws, some with carry. On the infield, 81 mph positional velo, high three quarters release, fields the ball in athletic position, momentum after the catch, clean exchange with quick footwork, accurate throws.

1/28/17 - Michaud is a 5-foot-10 150-pound right-handed hitting shortstop in Kansas’ 2019 class.  He ran a 7.39 60 and a 4.62 home to first.  He has a 72 mph exit velo. At the plate, short and compact swing, athletic stance, short stride with short path to contact, consistent hard contact to the pull side during hitting evaluations.  On the infield, 67 mph positional velo, high three quarters arm slot, feet are athletic and quick to ball, plays through the catch, cleans glove to hand transfer, mostly accurate throws.
