Prep Baseball Report Missouri/Kansas held the Mac N Seitz Scout Day Scout Day on February 23 at the Mac N Seitz Baseball Facility in Kansas City, Missouri. Nearly seventy five players participated in the 2022 to 2018 classes.

Player profiles have been updated with running times and velocities along with a video of their performance.

2020 Infielders

Aidan Baltz SS / RHP / Lees Summit West, MO / 2020

Baltz is a 5-foot-10 155-pound right-handed hitting shortstop in Missouri's 2020 class.  he ran a 4.15 home to first and has an 82 mph exit velocity.  At the plate, balanced set up, loads with a weight shift to back side, minimal hand movement, in line stride, fast bat speed with aggressive swing, flat plane, middle to pull line drives, compact swing.  On the infield, moves the ball with a purpose, quick feet, high three quarters arm slot, quick transfer, loose arm action, mostly accurate throws, athletic, 88 mph positional velocity.

Ben Barron SS / 2B / Blue Valley Northwest, KS / 2020

Barron is a 5-foot-11 145-pound right-handed hitting shortstop in Kansas' 2020 class. He ran a 4.52 home to first and has a 74 mph exit velocity.  At the plate, starts slightly open, no wasted movement with minimal load, hands separate from stride, loose and quick hands, generates bat speed, level plane, stays balanced, middle of the field approach.  On the infield, fluid actions, fields ball in athletic position, high three quarters arm slot, clean transfers, gains ground with footwork after the catch, mostly accurate throws, 73 mph positional velocity.

Corbin Bates 1B / C / Blue Valley West, KS / 2020

Bates is a 6-foot-1 205-pound right-handed hitting first baseman in Kansas' 2020 class.  He ran a 4.60 home to first and has a 76 mph exit velocity.  At the plate, balanced stance, slight rotation with hands to load, short to the ball, in line stride, quick bat speed, gap to gap approach, simple and repeatable.  On the infield, 70 mph positional velocity, high three quarters arm slot, reverse pivot to throw to second base, smooth action, clean transfer, accurate throws.

Gage Callaghan C / 3B / Lawrence Free State, KS / 2020

Callaghan is a 6-foot-1 185-pound right-handed hitting third baseman in Kansas' 2020 class. He ran a 4.71 home to first and has a 73 mph exit velocity.  At the plate, starts slightly open, loads against back side, some hand load, in line stride, swing produced gap to gap contact during hitting evals, one handed finish.  On the infield, short high three quarters arm slot, gains momentum with footwork after the catch, clean transfers, mostly accurate throws, 73 mph positional velocity.

Clint Chappell RHP / 3B / Mill Valley , KS / 2020

Chappell is an athletically built 6-foot-5 210-pound right-handed hitting third baseman in Kansas' 2020 class. He ran a 4.41 home to first and has an 84 mph exit velocity.  At the plate, starts in a tall stance, minimal load with no wasted movement, smooth acceleration through contact with hands, quick bat speed, level through the hitting zone, flashes pull side power, quick bat speed.  On the infield, high three quarters arm slot, quick transfer and throw, fluid footwork to the ball, controlled actions, arm works, accurate throws, 82 mph positional velocity.

Nathan Chester 2B / SS / Liberty North, MO / 2020

Chester is a 6-foot 180-pound right-handed hitting second baseman in Missouri's 2020 class.  He ran a 4.35 home to first and has an 86 mph exit velocity.  At the plate, starts with slightly open stance, controlled leg lift with load to back side, quiet hands, accelerates hands through contact, feel for the barrel with solid and consistent gap to gap line drives.  On the infield, quick catch and throw, quick feet to the ball with momentum through the catch, soft hands, accurate throws, athletic actions, 83 mph positional velocity.

Mack Clark SS / C / Blue Valley Southwest, KS / 2020

Clark is a strong 5-foot-11 175-pound left-handed hitting shortstop in Kansas' 2020 class.  He ran a 4.28 home to first and has an 83 mph exit velocity.  At the plate, starts in open stance, smooth load to back side with weight shift, minimal movement in hands, short and compact swing, repeatable, showed pull side power, slight lift to path after contact. On the infield, over the top arm slot, quick transfer and release, stays under control, athletic, smooth actions, accurate throws, 83 mph positional velocity.

Seth Dankenbring 2B / 3B / Grain Valley , MO / 2020

Dankenbring is a sturdy 5-foot-8 180-pound right-handed hitting second baseman in Missouri's 2020 class.  He ran a 4.62 home to first and has an 80 mph exit velocity.  At the plate, starts with open stance, minimal stride, says open, quiet hands, short to contact, level path, stays balanced, middle of the field approach.  On the infield, three quarters arm slot, quick to the ball with footwork, clean transfers, mostly accurate throws, 80 mph positional velocity.

Zach Dillman C / RHP / Lee's Summit West, MO / 2020

Dillman is a strong 6-foot-1 190-pound right-handed hitting infielder in Missouri's 2020 class.  He ran a 4.18 home to first and has an 89 mph exit velocity. At the plate, starts with a wide base, open stance, loads with weight shift to back side, slight rotation in hips, level bat path, middle to pull side contact, showing pull side power. On the infield, short over the top arm slot, clean transfer and throw, gains ground with footwork after the catch, athletic, 89 mph positional velocity.

Dawson Durkes SS / 2B / Shawnee Heights, KS / 2020

Durkes is a 5-foot-9 170-pound left-handed hitting shortstop in Kansas' 2020 class.  He ran a 4.15 home to first and has an 87 mph exit velocity.  At the plate, open stance, no wasted movement in hands, leg lift to in line stride, loose hands, some lift to path after contact, strong lower half, middle to pull side contact. On the infield aggressive to ball, arm works from different slots, quick transfer on time with quick feet, mostly accurate throws, 80 mph positional velocity.

Ryan Eglich RHP / 3B / Blue Springs, MO / 2020

Eglich is a 6-foot 190-pound right-handed hitting third baseman in Missouri's 2020 class.  He ran a 4.56 home to first and has an 83 mph exit velocity.  At the plate, balanced stance with some pre-pitch rhythm, loads with lower half, minimal hand movement, in line stride, loose hands, level path, stays through contact, gap to gap approach.  On the infield, long arm circle, high three quarters arm slot, clean transfer and throw, transfer on time with footwork, gains momentum after the catch, mostly accurate throws, 76 mph positional velocity.

Colby McCurdy 2B / SS / Ottawa , KS / 2020

McCurdy is a 5-foot-9 145-pound right-handed hitting second baseman in Kansas' 2020 class.  He ran a 4.17 home to first and has an 82 mph exit velocity. At the plate, open stance, early to touch, in line stride, level path with gap to gap approach, stays under control.  On the infield, high three quarters arm slot, smooth actions with clean transfer, soft hands, accurate throws, 82 mph positional velocity. 

Steven Parker 2B / SS / Blue Valley West, KS / 2020

Parker is a 5-foot-8 160-pound right-handed hitting second baseman in Kansas' 2020 class.  He ran a 4.22 home to first and has a 78 mph exit velocity.  At the plate, tall and open set up, toe tap with short stride, slight hand load, level path, swing produced gap to gap line drives.  On the infield, high three quarters arms slot, quick catch and throw, aggressive the ball, clean exchange, mostly accurate throws, 72 mph positional velocity.

Jack Stucky SS / 2B / Rockhurst , MO / 2020

Stucky is a 6-foot-3 170-pound right-handed hitting shortstop in Missouri's 2020 class.  He ran a 4.59 home to first and has a 76 mph exit velocity.  At the plate, balanced set up, has smooth pre-swing rhythm, reverse toe tap, in line stride, quick bat speed with looseness in hands, middle of the field line drives during hitting evals.  On the infield, quick catch and throw, high three quarters arm slot, fluid transfer on time with footwork, mostly accurate throws, 66 mph positional velocity.

Will Thompson SS / RHP / St Thomas Aquinas, KS / 2020

Thompson is a 5-foot-11 180-pound left-handed hitting shortstop in Kansas' 2020 class.  He ran a 4.22 home to first and has an 81 mph exit velocity.  At the plate, open stance, loads weight against back side, quick bat speed with slight lift to path, middle to pull contact, power to pull side.  On the infield, high three quarters arm slot, gains ground after the catch with two shuffles, fields ball in athletic position, clean transfer, arm works, mostly accurate throws, 82 mph positional velocity.

Trent Trammell SS / 1B / Park Hill, MO / 2020

Trammell is a 6-foot 160-pound right-handed hitting shortstop in Missouri's 2020 class.  He ran a 4.33 home to first and has a 79 mph exit velocity.  At the plate, open stance, leg kick with minimal hand movement, open stance, quick and level bat path, middle to pull side contact during hitting evals.  On the infield, high three quarters arm slot, fluid action with footwork and transfer, plays through the ball, makes throws at 76 mph.
