Scout Day: Mac N Seitz Blacksox: 2021 Pitchers Analysis

Prep Baseball Report Missouri/Kansas held the Mac N Seitz Scout Day Scout Day on February 23 at the Mac N Seitz Baseball Facility in Kansas City, Missouri. Nearly seventy five players participated in the 2022 to 2018 classes. Player profiles have been updated with running times and velocities along with a video of their performance.

Players can now updated their profiles with a ProspectPlus subscription, while scouts and recruiters can add players on ScoutPlus.

Here is a closer look at the 2021 Pitchers from the event, listed in alphabetical order.

2021 Pitchers

Steven Azzaro C / OF / St James Academy, KS / 2021

Azzaro is a 6-foot-1 170-pound right-handed pitcher in Kansas' 2021 class. On the mound, comes from a high three quarters arm slot, stays in line down the mound, level shoulders, finishes in balanced position, fastball worked 70-73 mph, works change up at 58-61 mph, near fastball arm speed, slight late sinking action.

George Ballew RHP / 2B / Blue Valley North, KS / 2021

Ballew is a 5-foot-10 155-pound right-handed pitcher in Kansas' 2021 class. On the mound, Ballew has a smooth delivery, throws with regular effort, high three quarters arms slot, in line stride, athletic finish, fastball at 67-70 mph, works to both sides of the plate, breaking ball at 56-59 mph,12-to-6 shape, change up at 62-63 mph, throws with near fastball arm speed, occasional sink.

Benjamin Bryan C / RHP / Blue Springs South, MO / 2021

Bryan is a 6-foot-1 240-pound right-handed pitcher in Missouri's 2021 class. On the mound, smooth delivery, over the top arm slot, loose arm action, ands work over the head with knee lift, in line down the mound, Carson's fastball works 77-78 mph, slight running action, breaking ball at 72-73 mph, 1-to-8 shape, lands for a strike, change up at 67-68 mph, has command to bottom of the zone, throws with fastball arm speed, projection in arm action and build.

Carson Cole 2B / RHP / Blue Valley North, KS / 2021

Cole is a 5-foot-7 126-pound right-handed pitcher in Kansas' 2021 class. On the mound, Cole comes from a high three quarters arm slot, works slightly across body with stride, loose arm action, throws with some effort, fastball at 69-71 mph, both sides of the plate, breaking ball at 64-67 mph, gradual 12-to-6 shape, late at times, change up at 65-66, near fastball arm speed, occasional arm side run.
