Head Coach Remarks:

"Even though we graduated 4 seniors that played a huge part in our success, we are left with a team that is primarily made up of upperclassmen that have also been instrumental to our success. There will be several guys assume everyday roles that may be new to them but they have been in the fire before and that should make the transition much easier." - HC Cody Philpot

State Director's Input:

"Head Coach Cody Philpot graduated 4 from last year’s State Tournament squad but returns 7 seniors, led by Super 60 standout Kade Elam (Louisville). Elam is flying up MLB draft boards and is one of the top players in the country who possesses power, speed, IQ, and physicality. With a big senior season, the young shortstop will put himself in a prime position to get a phone call on day 2 of the MLB draft in July. Another player filled with tools and ability is senior Noah Cima (uncommitted) who returns his .374 AVG, 19 extra base hits, 31 stolen bases and lock down defense in center field. Our pick to click for the Hounds is junior Cam Estep, who is a multi sport star in the making. Showing some physicality as evidenced by his 4 home runs last Spring, look for a massive year from the young infielder. Look for seniors Will Freeman, Cruz Cima, Lucas Tarvin and Ethan Abner to anchor a deep staff with help coming from Elam, Noah Cima, and junior two-way Clay Botner to hold the mound down. If these young men can replace the innings lost there is a strong chance to make a return trip to the State Tournament." - Jamie Tessoff
