We are less than TWO WEEKS from opening day for the 2025 KHSAA season! The Prep Baseball KY staff has been hard at work ranking the top 25 teams in the Bluegrass State. We are now individually previewing our top ranked teams as part of our Power 25 countdown. Our next preview belongs to #12 ranked Greenwood High School!

Record: 27-10 (home: 13-2, away: 7-3, neutral: 7-5)

2nd overall in Region 4
2nd overall in District 14

Postseason finish: Region 4 semifinalists

Offensive stats: 263 H, 220 R, 54 XBH, 100 SB, .278 AVG

"Head Coach Jason Jaggers returns a wealth of talent from last year’s 27 win squad, with high hopes of getting out the 4th Region hornets' nest. This senior laden club will be led by Zach Davis (Louisville) and his .347 AVG. Elite bat to ball skills is what Davis brings to the top of the order. Look for Davis to be in Player of The Year discussions. Look for big contributions to come from seniors Andrew Jolly (Brescia), Canon Jaggers (.365 AVG), Easton Talley (.314 AVG), and junior Rylan Graves. Look for senior 8 game winner Nathan Howard (Oakland City) to be dominant again on the bump for the Gators. Junior Chaze Huff will most likely fill the 2 spot in the rotation, with the above mentioned Zach Davis filling out a formidable top 3. If the Gators are to escape the 4th region gauntlet, look for senior arm Ryan Loiars to be a major contributor as well. Junior Sam Holder will be a name to follow this Spring as well as freshman Ethan York, who will look to force his way into meaningful action as well.
