"Head Coach Jody Hamilton and his Diamond Aces return a loaded lineup that reached the final four last year, in what many viewed as maybe a year earlier than expected. This team is battle tested, plays with a low pulse, and will never panic. Offensively, look for 2024 Team Kentucky Future Games participant Brady Atwell (WKU commit) to pace the offense after smashing 6 bombs to the tune of a .350 AVG last year. The .351 hitting Parker Heistand (Uncommitted) will anchor the defense and be the unquestioned leader on this squad, finishing his senior season in what has been an outstanding career. Not overpowering on the mound but extremely capable are senior Luke Quinn, junior Barrett Evans, and highly projectable freshman Jaxson White leading the charge. Look for more mound help from sophomores Chase Keller and Myles Grant along with 2027 Jake Murphy, with 2028s Jude Evans and talented Alex Hood looking to make their mark as well. The boys from Owensboro appear poised for another possible deep run in Lexington, and, if the stars align, Head Coach Jody Hamilton could be hoisting his third State Championship trophy and first since 2015." - Jamie Tessoff
