Head Coach Remarks:

State Director's Input:
"The defending State Champions come in at #5 in the Preseason Power 25 and will need to replace a few pieces from last year’s 40 win squad. Head Coach Brad Burns returns several seniors, first of which INF/RHP Kobie Howard (uncommitted), who ripped off 17 extra base hits, stole 21 bags, and raked to the tune of a .447 AVG. Center fielder Brayden Bruner (Bellarmine) brings back 22 extra base hits, 36 stolen bases, and a lofty .400 AVG. OF/LHP Gevar (Deuce) Harris, who stole 22 bases and hit .389, returns to anchor a corner outfield spot and will be counted on to carry more of a load on the mound. Look for big seasons from Grayson Roll (.293 AVG, 11 XBH), Kaleb Settle (.302 AVG), and our name to watch in junior Team Kentucky Future Games participant Ravon Lee (Eastern Kentucky) who will get his chance this Spring. Lee possesses off the charts metrics with a blistering 6.49 second 60, electric bat speed and plenty of juice to go with it. Look for sophomore 11 game winner Joey Dudeck (1.72 ERA, 73K’s, 69.1 IP) to anchor the staff. 6 game winner Grayson Roll (2.03 ERA), and 5 game winner Logan Strong to log significant innings for the Panthers. This group put up an absurd 377 runs last year while pitching to a 2.02 team ERA. This is senior led squad that has already performed on the biggest stage. They play unreal defense, put pressure on their opposition, and will not panic. The Southsiders will need to stay healthy and if so they very well might be the last man standing once again." - Jamie Tessoff
