Head Coach Remarks:

"We’ve really worked hard on our hitting and pitching this offseason. We incorporated a lot of strength and mobility into our offseason program this year." - HC Scott Gentry

State Director's Input:

"Head Coach Scott Gentry returns everything from last year’s 25 win squad, who lost a heartbreaker in the 2nd Region Championship game. This squad returns a plethora of talent, led by junior Team Kentucky Future Games participant Hayden Hunt (Uncommitted). Hunt hit .397 last Spring and is a lockdown defender as well. He also brings an upper 80s Fastball, which, when needed, can get into the low 90s. A must see this Spring for any program and should not be on the board much longer. Look for the talented Gibson boys to be offensive leaders as well, with junior Cadence, who hit a smooth .371 with 19 swiped bags, and sophomore Courtland, who produced a solid .355 AVG himself. A couple of juniors, Josh Pace (.314) and Jackson Flynn (.283), will also look to make big contributions offensively. The mound is where this group will stand out as the Blazers will sport a ridiculously deep staff, led by the above mentioned Hunt (1.39 ERA, 62K’s, 45.1 IP), Jaiden Miles (5-0, 2.26 ERA, 46K’s, 34 IP), Bryson Turner (1.68 ERA), Josh Pace ( 48K’s, 32 IP), and Ryan Luckey (2.10 ERA, 33K’s, 23.1 IP). This loaded group might be a year away from really being a dominant force, but the Prep Baseball staff believes they are ready to contend this Spring. It might take a couple of bounces going their way, but if that happens then this young, battle tested group will have a chance at a deep postseason run. If they stay healthy and catch a break or two, then we could be looking at a last group standing situation from the 2nd Region." - Jamie Tessoff
