As is the case every week, there were several worthy players nominated for our Player of the Week award, but one player’s numbers stood out among the rest.

Oldham County senior Griffin McLarty, a College of Charleston signee, led the Colonels to an undefeated week and has been instrumental in their 19-3 start to the season. Last week, McLarty went 9-for-14 with three doubles, a triple, three home runs, and an eye-popping 16 RBIs. In addition to his offensive explosion, McLarty also fired a complete game one-hit shutout while racking up 11 strikeouts in the dominant performance.

For his outstanding performance on the field, Oldham County 2016 RHP/3B Griffin McLarty has been selected the PBR Kentucky Player of the Week for April 11-16.
