A total of 25 outfielders participated in the Preseason All-State Showcase at Champions Baseball Academy in Lexington.  In part one of our evaluations, we take a look at half of the group of outfield prospects.

Jordon Adell, R/R, RHP/OF, Ballard HS, 2017
6-foot-1, 185-pound prospect put on a show not only as an outfielder but as a pitcher as well (we’ll take a look at that in pitcher write-ups).  Adell showed athletic actions in the outfield with 87 mph arm strength.  At the plate, showed elite bat speed when he tied a PBR Kentucky record with 99 mph exit velocity off the tee.  Hits from a wide setup with minimal stride, good use of lower half, has a big arm bar which creates length in his swing but still gets through the zone consistently with plus bat speed, ran 7.06 60 yard dash, shows big power for his age and will continue to develop into elite level prospect, featured in standout OF article from the event.
