Top Outfield Prospects at the Northern KY/Cincinnati Prospect ID Showcase

Some very talented players in the Class of 2013, 2014 and 2015 from Kentucky, Ohio, Indiana, and Illinois had an opportunity to showcase their abilities at the Northern KY/Cincinnati Prospect ID Showcase on December 30. Today we breakdown the top outfield prospects from the showcase.

Devin Dubbert, OF, Class of 2014, Perkins HS
Dubbert is a 6-foot,195-pound OF with an athletic frame. HIs throws from the outfield registered at 80 mph. At the plate, he hits from a balanced, athletic set-up with a short stride.  He gets good lower half torque in swing to generate bat speed through the zone.  He registered the 3rd best exit velocity of the event at 86 mph and runs well with a 4.29 home to first time.

Logan Banks, OF, Class of 2015, Lexington Catholic HS
Banks is a young 5-foot-11, 165-pound OF with an athletic frame.  He registered throws from the outfield at 77 mph.  At the plate, he hits from a balanced set-up with a short path to the ball and line drive swing plane, could develop some power potential with more consistent lower half torque in swing.  Registered an exit velocity of 79 mph and runs well with a home to first time of 4.32.
