The 2014 Kentucky Top Prospect Games featured more than 120 players over the two-day event. middle infielders

Keegan Breese, MIF/RHP, L/R, McCracken County HS, 2016
5-foot-10, 150-pound prospect showed solid middle infield actions, hands are soft and works through the baseball well with fluid feet, good lateral movement in both directions, gets rid of the baseball with short arm action through high ¾ slot, showed 81 mph arm across the infield on accurate throws.  At the plate, the left-handed hitter hits from an open stance and squares front side with a short stride, good use of lower half and shows quick hands, line drive type hitter shows the ability to make contact to all fields, registered 81 mph tee exit velocity, ran 4.56 down the first base line from the left side, went 2-for-4 in game play with a nice bunt single and an infield hit, showed speed on the bases with three stolen bases, potential to be high-level middle infield prospect.

Jackson Gooding, SS, R/R, Bowling Green HS, 2016
5-foot-10, 165-pound prospect showed improved arm strength at 79 mph across the infield through high ¾ arm slot, shows lateral movement in both directions, with capable hands.  At the plate, hits from a balanced setup with a short stride, shows some hand quickness and generates bat speed with a short path to the baseball, line drive type hitter with gap-to-gap approach, showed a significant increase in tee exit velocity at 80 mph, ran 4.59 down the first base line from the right side, had a solid day at the plate in game play going 3-for-5 with three singles to left field, makes consistent hard contact, solid hitter.

Dillon Sievert, 2B/C, R/R, DeSales HS, 2015
6-foot-3, 175-pound prospect shows the ability to play multiple positions.  As a middle infielder, shows soft hands and gets rid of the ball quickly with 77 mph arm strength across the infield, good body control with the ability to throw accurately on the move from multiple arm angles.  As a catcher showed good arm strength at 78 mph from the crouch with pop times ranging from 2.06-2.14.  At the plate, hits from a balanced setup with a short stride, shows some hand quickness on the inner half, showed a slight increase in tee exit velocity at 84 mph, ran 4.90 down the first base line from the right side, went 0-for-4 in game play.

Jacob Cole, SS, R/R, Spencer County HS, 2016
5-foot-9, 160-pound prospect shows average hands and lateral movement, arm works through a high ¾ slot, loose arm, 71 mph arm strength across the infield with accurate throws.  At the plate, hits from a balanced setup with a short stride, gets close to arm bar in load which creates some length in swing, good use of lower half torque in swing, line drive type hitter with level swing path, showed some bat speed with 84 mph tee exit velocity, ran 4.89 down the first base line, went 2-for-5 with two singles to left in game play.

corner infielders

Davis Sims, 3B, R/R, St, Mary HS, 2015
6-foot-4, 205-pound prospect has prototypical corner size, hands work and shows good lateral movement, showed an increase in arm strength from previous event at 82 mph across the infield with carry, good body control on slow roller with ability to throw accurately on the move.  At the plate, hits from a balanced setup with a short stride, uphill swing path creates some lift, showed pull-side power in hitting a home run to left field in batting practice, showed 89 mph tee exit velocity (95 at previous event), ran 4.85 down the first base line, went 0-for-4 in game play with a strikeout, has definite power potential at the next level.

Dixon Craft, 3B/RHP, R/R, Christian County HS, 2016
6-foot-3, 200-pound prospect with strong frame, shows capable hands and gets rid of the ball with short arm action through a high ¾ slot, arm strength at 76 mph across the infield with accurate throws.  At the plate, hits from a slightly open stance with a short stride, uses lower half torque in swing, short path to the ball with gap power, showed his ability to generate bat speed with 88 mph tee exit velocity, runs well for size 4.63 down the first base line from the right side, went 2-for-4 in game play with a single to center field and an infield single.

JT Morsey, 1B, L/L, Bullitt East HS, 2016
6-foot-1, 155-poud prospect with lanky build, shows average feet and hands, 63 mph arm across the infield with some stiffness.  At the plate, the left handed hitter has changed stance from previous event to a tall/narrow setup and uses a big leg kick trigger with a long stride, shows some quickness in hands, gets lower half involved in swing, long stride creates some balance issues at times, registered 80 mph exit velocity off the tee, ran 4.50 down the first base line, went 1-for-5 with a single to right field and two strikeouts in game play.

Avery Vannatta, 1B, R/R, Spencer County HS, 2016
6-foot, 165-pound prospect shows capable hands defensively with 72 mph arm strength across the infield.  At the plate, starts in a balanced setup and brings front foot back in load, medium stride, has a big arm bar with a long swing path, registered 71 mph tee exit velocity, ran 4.62 down the first base line from the right side, went 0-for-5 in game play with one strikeout lining out hard in one at bat.

outfielders

Ethan Cleary, RHP/OF, R/R, North Oldham HS, 2015
5-foot-9, 150-pound prospect shows athletic outfield actions playing through the baseball well with quick feet, showed a very strong and accurate arm with 90 mph arm strength with online carry through an over the top arm slot.  At the plate, hits from a slightly open setup with a short stride, has a short and direct path to the baseball and generates good bat speed through the zone, line drive type hitter with some pop for his size, showed 85 mph tee exit velocity, showed good speed running 4.33 down the first baseline from the right side, went 2-for-5 in game play with a single to left and a double to left-center, quick twitch athlete, very interesting two-way prospect.

Daniel Seitzinger, OF/LHP, L/L, McCracken County HS, 2015
6-foot, 165-pound prospect showed athletic actions in the outfield playing through the baseball well, gets rid of the ball quickly with a clean exchange and showed a very accurate arm at 86 mph working through a high ¾ slot, good carry on throws to the third base bag.  At the plate, hits from an open stance and squares front side with a short stride, line drive type hitter showed the ability to use all fields and consistently squared the baseball in his round of batting practice, showed some of the best speed of the event running 4.10 down the first base line from the left side, went 1-for-4 in game play with a single to left field and two strikeouts.

Ryan Garner, OF/LHP, R/L, McCracken County HS, 2015
5-foot-10, 180-pound prospect shows athletic outfield actions playing through the ball well on the ground and taking good routes to the ball in the air, clean exchange with 81 mph arm strength with online carry and accurate throws to the third base bag.  At the plate, hits from an open stance and squares front side with a short stride, has a short path to the ball and generates some barrel whip with good lower half torque and quick hands, took an impressive round of batting practice consistently squaring the baseball, 86 mph tee exit velocity, showed good speed running 4.31 down the first base line from the right side, went 0-for-4 in game play.

Andrew Patterson, RHP/OF, R/R, Whitefield Academy, 2015
6-foot-1, 170-pound prospect plays through the baseball with a clean exchange and showed 81 mph arm strength with some carry and accurate throws to the third base bag.  At the plate, hits from a balanced setup and uses a short stride, showed good barrel awareness in his round of batting practice consistently squaring the baseball in the 2nd half of his round, shows some gap to gap pop with a short path to the ball, improved swing from previous event, 79 mph tee exit velocity, ran 4.65 down the first base line from the right side, went 0-for-4 in game play with two strikeouts.

Bryce Spalding, OF, R/R, Greenwood HS, 2015
6-foot-3, 220-pound prospect with strong frame, showed 76 mph arm strength through an over the top arm slot with accurate throws to the third base bag, can attack the baseball better on the ground.  At the plate, hits from a balanced setup with a short stride, starts with high hands and drops with a long/uphill swing path, showed some bat speed with 85 mph tee exit velocity, ran 4.89 down the first base line from the right side, went 0-for-4 in game play with three strikeouts.

Blake Comer, OF, R/R, Greenwood HS, 2015
5-foot-9, 165-pound prospect plays through the baseball on the ground, showed 76 mph arm strength working through a high ¾ arm slot.  At the plate, hits from a slightly closed stance with a short stride, gets some lower half involved in swing, drops hands in load with a long swing path, registered 70 mph tee exit velocity, ran 5.00 down the first base line, went 1-for-4 with a double down the left field line in game action.

catchers

Bryan Chilton, C, R/R, Christian County HS, 2016
6-foot, 182-pound prospect with strong frame,  set a PBR Kentucky record for arm strength from behind the plate at 82 mph, pop times ranged from 1.89-1.98 with accurate throws to the bag, shows solid receiving and blocking skills.  At the plate, hits from a balanced setup with a short stride, level swing path, line drive type hitter showed 82 mph tee exit velocity, ran 5.00 down the first base line, went 1-for-4 in game play with a single to left-center, potential high-level prospect behind the plate.

Isaac Lineberry, C, R/R, McCracken County HS, 2016
6-foot, 185-pound prospect with strong frame, showcased 75 mph arm strength from the crouch with pop times ranging from 1.97-2.08, showed good blocking skills in game play.  At the plate, hits from an open stance with a toe tap, consistently squared up the middle-in pitch in batting practice with some gap power, 82 mph tee exit velocity, ran 5.03 down the first base line, went 0-for-4 in game play making hard contact a few times, 2016 prospect to keep an eye on.
