Jack Noftsger is a 6-foot-3, 192-pound 3B/RHP who showed well at the Unsigned Senior Games Event at Northern Kentucky University in August.

Defensively, Noftsger showed soft hands and good lateral movement in both directions.  His top throw across the infield registered at 84 mph, showing he has the arm strength to play 3rd base at the next level.

At the plate, Noftsger uses his strong lower half to generate bat speed through the zone.  His creates some lift with his swing path and has the potential to hit for power.  Noftsger registered the top tee exit velocity of the event at 94 mph.  He showed the ability to drive the ball the other way, as well, with a double to the right-center gap during the game play portion of the event

On the mound, Noftsger throws from a ¾ arm slot and shows good command of all of his pitches.  His fastball sat 77-79 mph touching 81, and consistently threw his 68 mph curveball for strikes along with his 72-74 mph slider with some late bite.  Noftsger’s arm is loose and his delivery easy and repeatable.

It wouldn’t be surprising if Noftsger, currently ranked No. 72 in Kentucky’s 2014 class, shows more velocity on the mound in the near future.
