Stuart Mills, MIF, Mayfield HS, 2014

Stuart Mills is a 5-foot-8, 170-pound MIF with a solid frame and strong lower half.  Mills showed well at the Kentucky Preseason All-State Showcase last February in Lexington showing soft hands, good infield actions, and an 83 mph arm across the infield.

At the plate, Mills uses his strong lower half well, creating good bat speed through the zone.  He consistently squared the ball up in his round last February showing the potential to hit for power, and registered an exit velocity of 90 mph off the tee.  Mills also ran a 7.35 60-yard dash at the event.

Before Prep Baseball Report began operations in Kentucky, Mills had attended several PBR Missouri events and was selected to participate as a member of Team Missouri in the Midwest Future Games in August 2012 at the University of Illinois.  At that event, Mills showed an 86 mph arm across the infield and put his power on display in batting practice by taking one out over the left field fence.  He followed that up with a solid performance in game action as Missouri won 2 of their 3 games.

Mills is currently ranked No.35 in Kentucky’s 2014 class.
