Unsigned Senior Spotlight: OF/RHP Tyler Walsh (Campbell County HS)

Today's spotlight is on unsigned senior Tyler Walsh.  Walsh is a 5-foot-11,
170-pound OF/SS/RHP from Campbell County HS with two-way abilities. 

Defensively he showed 86 mph arm strength from the outfield with good carry.  He also showed good range and hands as an infielder with throws at 78 mph.

At the plate, he shows good lower body torque in his swing and attacks the ball well from a wide based, open stance.  He shows some slight uppercut in his swing path with a one hand finish.  Additionally, he ran a 7.07 60-yard dash.

On the mound, Walsh throws from the stretch through a high 3/4 slot with a fastball that shows some late life at 83-85 mph.  His slider shows some late bite at 73-75 mph, and he shows some feel for a 12/6 curveball that sits 70-71 mph. 

Look for Walsh to be a go to guy for the Camels this spring as they try to improve on a 12-20 mark last season.
