Kyle Fisher, RHP/3B, Western Hills HS, 2014

Kyle Fisher is a 6-foot-3, 230-pound RHP/3B who has shown well on the mound at multiple events, most recently the Kentucky Fall Prospect Program.

Fisher made a very good impression at the Top Prospect Games in June when he showed a fastball that sat 84-86 mph, good command of his sharp curveball at 71-73 mph, and one of the better off-speed pitches of the event with a 75-78 mph splitter with good sinking action.  It was a jump in velocity for Fisher who we had seen in February at 82-83 mph.

Fast forward to the Fall Prospect Program.  Fisher allowed a run in two innings of work the first week (after throwing the day before at a camp), but he was very effective over the rest of the program.

At stops at Morehead State, Western Kentucky, and Kentucky, Fisher allowed no runs over 7 innings of work with 7 strikeouts along the way.  While his velocity sat 81-84 mph (a tick down from where we saw in June), he showed the same command for his secondary stuff.  Fisher, ranked No. 51 in Kentucky’s 2014 class, consistently throws strikes and is not afraid to throw any pitch on any count.
