Updated and Expanded Class of 2015 Player Rankings

By Chris Fuller

After several events this summer, including our Top Prospect Games in June, and the Underclass Showcase a month later, the time has come to update and expand the Class of 2015 player rankings.

Riley Thompson (RHP, Christian Academy of Louisville) remains in the No. 1 spot.  The Louisville commit is back on the mound after a non-baseball related injury to his arm, and we have reports he has been up to 92 mph this summer.

Despite his shocking drop in velocity at the Midwest Future Games, Seth Murphy (RHP, Garrard County HS) remains in the No.2 spot.  Murphy, who sat consistently 86-88 mph and touched 89 on a few occasions at the Top Prospect Games, topped out at 82 mph at the Midwest Future Games just two weeks ago.  The sudden drop in velocity can be attributed to a four week layoff due to a strained groin and then re-joining his summer team's rotation and pitching too much, too soon, throwing a complete game in his first start back a week prior to arriving for the Future Games.

Left-handed hitting catcher Zeke Pinkham (Elizabethtown HS) rounds out the top three.

Here is a look at the updated top 10:
