Prep Baseball KY continued our preseason event agenda with the two-day Preseason All-State showcase, hosted on Saturday, 2/8 and Sunday, 2/9 in Lexington. Consistently our biggest event of the year, this weekend is meant to give the staff a broad look at high school players at all classes before the high school and summer seasons. Below, we have listed some of the players that impressed the most out of the 230+ attendees.

2025 Noah Cima (Corbin High School)

The 2023 Future Games alum might have just been the most impressive prospect of the entire weekend, securing the fastest 60 yd dash time (6.64s) and the hardest OF velocity (96mph) of any class. Cima also featured an exit velocity up to 97.9 mph in an impressive round of BP to finish off a great all-round performance. The 6’3” 180lb prospect is a true multi-sport athlete, coming off a great football season with almost 1000 yards of offense and 13 TDs for the Red Hounds. The speedy OF showed off his smooth hands, quick feet, and all-round strength last weekend in Lexington and certainly put the entire state on watch as he looks for a great senior season on the diamond.

2027 Abrahm Howard (George Rogers Clark High School)

A 2022 Junior Future Games and 2024 Super Sophomore Games alum, Howard continues to develop each and every time we see him. One of the most impressive two-way players in the state, the RHP/MIF has really flipped a switch and turned into a physical threat with a 6’1” 210lb frame. On the mound, Howard was up to 91.5 mph on the FB, putting him at the top of the 2027 class. He coupled that with a 77-79 mph slider with a spin rate north of 2600. In the individual workout, Howard ran a 6.93s 60 yd dash and reached an exit velocity of 98.6 mph in BP. The 2027 two-way prospect continues to raise his ceiling and is certainly looking to have an impressive season in the heart of a dangerous George Rogers Clark lineup and pitching staff.

2029 Kaiden Thompson (Pikeville High School)

It was the first Prep Baseball KY event for the young two-way out of Pikeville, and he definitely made a good first impression on our staff. Putting up impressive numbers at the plate, on the mound and in the infield, the 5’10” 185lb 3B/RHP found himself near the top of several categories among the younger classes. Thompson reached a FB velocity of 83.0 mph, exit velocity of 91.1 mph with an average of 88.4 mph, and IF velocity of 79. Certainly an interesting prospect to follow as he develops throughout his high school career in a talented Pikeville program.

2026 Jacob Piper (Simon Kenton High School)

This young righty has clearly flipped a switch as of late as he has made a big velocity jump since the last time we saw him this past summer, reaching the 2nd overall spot from the 2026 class at 91.0 mph on the fastball. Spin rates up an average of over 300 rpm since the summer as well, into the mid 2100s. Piper has also added a splitter into the mix at 78-81 mph, expanding his toolbox before heading into the high school season. At 6’0” 180 lbs and an athletic build, the RHP/SS is looking forward to a strong junior season at the plate and on the mound for Simon Kenton HS.

2027 Griffin Kingsolver (Spencer County High School)

The 2023 Junior Future Games and 2024 Super Sophomore Games alum continues to develop in front of us as Kingsolver has turned into a very admirable RHP/C combo. He found himself at the top of the leaderboards with the highest C velocity (82mph) and fastest pop time (1.81s) of the weekend, as well as having great performances on the mound and during BP. The 6’2” 195lb righty has a FB velocity sitting 86-88 and topping out at 88 mph, as well as a 73-74 mph slider and 75-77 mph changeup, all three with solid movement. Kingsolver reached an exit velocity of 97.7 mph during BP, showcasing a steady, balanced, and very strong swing. Look for the young two-way to play a large role in the Spencer County lineup this upcoming season.

2027 Kyler Claunch (Boyle County High School)

One of the most naturally athletic prospects that we have seen, Claunch has dazzled for years now and continues to grow and progress each time we see him. The young two-way is finally starting to fill out his 5’10” 155lb frame, an exciting thing to watch considering the mechanics and athleticism that he has already developed. The top ranked SS in the 2027 class put on another fantastic performance this past weekend, recording the 3rd highest overall IF velocity (88mph), 3rd fastest 60 yd dash time (6.72s), and 2nd highest vertical jump (29.4in), all of these the best among the 2027 class. Definitely a bright future ahead for the hard working two-way out of Boyle County, looking to have an impressive sophomore season!

2028 Braxton Frankenburger (West Jessamine High School)

The 2024 Junior Future Games alum continues to put up monumental numbers at the plate that make us surprised to see him in the 2028 graduating class. Frankenburger also had a solid performance on the mound, finishing with a max FB velocity of 81.6 mph, and now starting to develop some spin with a 2194 max SR. After BP, the 5’11” 190lb two-way prospect found himself in the top 5 among all classes in exit velocity (100.5mph), hand speed (29.2mph), and bat speed (83.4mph). The 1B/RHP continues to shine at the plate each time we see him, and the ceiling is only going to grow higher for the young two-way as he develops his mechanics and continues to put on muscle.

2025 Peyton Williams (Lyon County High School) | Commitment: Western Kentucky University

In truly one of the most astounding transitions we’ve seen, Williams has turned into a dominant force on the mound after growing up as one of the most skilled backstops in the Bluegrass State. Since stepping on the mound for the first time at a Prep Baseball event at our State Area Code Games in August, the 2024 Senior Future Games alum has become one of the most imposing arms in the state, and has already signed with Western Kentucky University. After taking all of the winter offseason to dial in his mechanics, the 6’3” 220lb righty now sits in the low to mid 90s with a max FB velocity of 94.2 mph. Williams adds an 82-83 mph slider, 80-82 mph curveball and 87-88 mph splitter to his mix, with spin rates nearing 2500 for the FB and over 2650 for the offspeed. A true mix of physical strength and athletic ability, the senior RHP is shaping up to have a special season on the exceptionally talented Lyon County roster.

2026 Grayson Willoughby (Trinity High School) | Commitment: University of Kentucky

A recent commitment to the University of Kentucky at the end of the summer has brought more eyes on Willoughby and he continues to impress day in and day out. After putting college coaches across the country on alert at the 2024 Future Games, the two-way prospect put together one of the best performances of the weekend in Lexington, topping the pitching leaderboards with a FB velocity of 95.1 mph. Willoughby is another high spin arm, with a spin rate peaking at 2699 on a curveball that sits 77-78 mph, in addition to a 78-81 mph slider and 82-85 mph changeup to polish off a four pitch mix. At the plate, the lefty bat reached an exit velocity of 95.7 mph. This 6’2” 185lb RHP/LHH athlete is always a fun one to watch, and we can’t wait to watch him compete his upcoming junior season as Trinity High School looks to make another run at a State Championship.

2025 Blake Campbell (Lexington Christian Academy) | Commitment: Air Force Academy

Finding himself in the top 3 of nearly every category from the individual workout, Campbell evidently had one of the most notable weekends of anyone across the board. The 5’10” 165lb outfielder was 2nd overall in OF velocity (91mph), 2nd overall in exit velocity (103.8mph), 1st overall in max distance (377ft), and 1st overall in the vertical jump height (29.9in). The 2023 Future Games alum has been consistently developing throughout his high school career, signing with the Air Force Academy back in October of 2023. Since then, Campbell has risen to the #3 ranked outfielder in the 2025 class. With soft hands, easy footwork and a natural athletic ability, it’s absolutely going to be fun watching this one compete at the next level.

2026 Kace Eastridge (Campbellsville High School) | Commitment: Eastern Kentucky University

A recent Eastern Kentucky University commit, Eastridge continues to find well deserved success everywhere, as one of the hardest working athletes in the state. The 2024 Future Games alum posted spectacular numbers all around during the individual workout, as he notched the top OF velocity (90mph) in the 2026 class, the 3rd overall hand speed (29.4mph), 1st overall bat speed (89.9mph), 3rd overall max distance (360ft), as well as posting an exit velocity of 98.8 mph and a 60 yd dash time of 6.94 seconds. All things to be expected from a pure multi-sport athlete, as Eastridge is coming off a great football season where he tallied 1346 offensive yards and 21 TDs for the Eagles. The 6’1” 190lb outfielder is shaping up to have another great season in Campbellsville in another talented lineup.

2027 Brayden Singleton (LaRue County High School)

The top ranked LHP in the 2027 class had a memorable performance on the mound as well, reaching a max FB velocity of 89.8 mph, the second highest overall among left handed arms. The 6’4” 200lb southpaw also displayed a 71-74 mph slider and 76-79 mph changeup, taking the RPM down into the 900s. The Larue County ace has already found plenty of success at the varsity level and is looking for another great year in his sophomore season as the Hawks look to make their 3rd consecutive KHSAA State Tournament appearance.

2027 Hudson Meredith (Trinity High School)

A participant in the 2023 Junior Future Games and the 2024 Super Sophomore Games, Meredith has been a fun prospect to watch develop as he has grown into one of the top lefty arms in the 2027 class. The 6’1” 185lb two-way topped out at 88.5 mph on the fastball, paired with a late breaking changeup at 77-78 mph and a 73-75 mph curveball with a max spin rate of 2386 rpm. At the plate, Meredith reached an exit velocity of 97.8 mph from the right side in a strong round of BP. There is undoubtedly a bright future ahead for the young LHP/OF if he continues to develop on this same track, and he will definitely play a large role this season in an already dangerous Trinity lineup.

2026 Thomas Bagby (Marshall County High School)

A definite winner from Saturday is the young southpaw out of Marshall County, who stepped on the mound and effortlessly clocked a 90 mph fastball after sitting 83-84 for us just a few months ago. In addition to adding a 76-77 mph curveball and a 79-80 mph changeup, Bagby has also developed into a high spin guy, taking the FB spin rate over 2300 rpm. The 6’0” 180lb LHP showcased an especially loose arm from a ¾ angle, and is certainly shaping up to be a physical threat on the mound this season.
