Team Summary

Brother Martin has always been a staple name in Louisiana High School baseball, especially, in the highly competitive Catholic League.  St. Paul's High School is the team to beat, coming off of a 2019 State Championship game run, where the Crusaders lost a close semi-final game to the Wolves by a score of 4-3.  Coach Lupo's group will have to replace two highly touted 2020 prospects, in Joe Delaney and Tre' Morgan, who are now playing in the college ranks.  Morgan is one of the most highly touted prospects to come out of Brother Martin and 2022 Sully Stringer will look to fill that void this season.  Stringer is a physical, RHH 1B who saw his stock steadily rise this summer, which eventually led to him committing to Louisiana Tech University.  2023's Andrew Sieta and Eli Booth will be two underclassmen that the Crusaders offense will look to rely on as well.  The biggest question will be on the mound for the Crusaders, however, they do have two returning seniors in Mayson Keene and Tyler Velino, who will provide some experience.  Again, we've already mentioned St. Paul's as the team to beat out of the Catholic League.  Holy Cross and Jesuit won't be far behind them, as both programs have talented teams.  Brother Martin will come out of league play battle tested.  As with all programs in late-April and early-May; will the Crusaders be clicking on all cylinders heading into the playoffs?
