Louisiana High School baseball fans may not be familiar with Glenbrook, out of Minden LA, but after this coming spring, we expect everyone to know the Apaches very well.  The school made a big move over the summer, by joining the Louisiana High School Athletic Association.  Glenbrook was previously a member of the Mississippi Association of Independent Schools, for many years, and won the 2021 MAIS Class 2A Baseball State Championship, finishing with a 23-7 overall record.  Unfortunately, the 2022 Glenbrook squad, will be unable to compete in the playoffs, due to a probationary period required for all incoming LHSAA members.  The good news, however, is that this program is filled with young talent, especially in the 2023 class.  On the mound, the Apaches have a pair of uber-talented junior arms in 2023 Maddox Mandino and 2023 Hayden Harmon.  Mandino, a University of Louisiana commit, packs a lot of punch in a smaller frame.  The southpaw attended our All-State Games this fall and ran his FB up to 89 mph, while mixing in a quality CB and CH.  Harmon, a physical and athletic RHP and Louisiana Tech commit, also attended the All-State Games and was equally impressive.  He pitch mostly in the upper-80's and has been up to 90-91 mph this past summer, but the real separator for him is his tight, sharp breaking ball that registered up to 2527 RPM per Trackman Baseball.  2022 RHP Cale Hollis rounds out the staff for Glenbrook and is one of the top uncommitted arms in Louisiana's 2022 class.  Hollis's arsenal includes a mid-80's FB, quality CH, and an "11-5" shaped breaking ball that registers between 2600-2650 RPM's per Trackman Baseball.  Mandino and Harmon will both be important pieces of Glenbrook's offensive attack this spring, as well as veterans like 2023 Turner McLelland and 2023 Cason Clemons.  The Apaches also have one of the top freshman in the state in 2025 Easton Sanders.  The physical 6'3" RHH 1B is a Louisiana Tech commit and our top ranked first baseman in the 2025 state rankings.  As we mentioned earlier, Glenbrook will be unable to compete in the LHSAA playoffs this spring, however, we fully expect this year's team to win a lot of baseball games and make a lot of noise heading into next school year, where they will be one of the top teams in Class 1A.
